• Mainly responsible for overall Procurement as well administration of Emirates Glass and Lumiglass Industries
• Excellent in thinking out of box and providing solution for all departments such as Production, Wearhouse, Quality Control and Dispatch (Packing).
• Acts as Procurement Head Emirates and Lumiglass during absence of his direct boss which is the SCM - Procurement Head
• Executes Material requisition assigned by Procurement Head.
• Invites quotations from Suppliers and evaluates with respect to price, delivery and quality.
• Seeks QC approval for new vendors and quality of material.
• Converts the Material request to Purchase order in 3 working days.
• Ensure all the terms and conditions are correct in the Purchase order
• Getting PO approved in line with Delegation of Authority matrix.
• Ensures supplier delivers on time as requested and pre informs the requesting department in case of expected /abnormal delays.
• Ensures the Annual Suppliers agreements are followed with respect to price. Quantity and keeping track of same
• Reviews open Purchase orders on a regular basis and follows up with finance for payment issues.
• Ensures Supplier Payments are planned as per Priority and availability of funds with finance.
• Visits Supplier and reviews with them the order status and performance.
• Key responsibility is to ensure all necessary parts and consumables are available as per request and ensure nonstop production and to facilitate faster invoicing by getting the third party jobs completed as per agreement with supplier
• Maintain a vendor data base of Third Party Supplier and details on their capacity, capability, standard agreement on delivery, payment mode and terms
• Ensure there is clear agreement on claims and put appropriate conditions on Purchase order as per agreement with QC
• Propose product substitutions consistent with requirements to achieve cost saving
• Identify and recommend potential sources of procurement.
• Coordinating with the store regarding availability of minimum stock level.
• Coordinating with maintenance department to make sure that status of spare parts is procured.
• Following up with the shipment department regarding the delivery date.
• Ensure Claims with suppliers are properly recorded in a tracker, reported and followed up.
• Updating supplier list.
• Ensure to have at least three suppliers for all materials and minimize procurement risk of having only one source.
• Responsible for outsourcing operations-
• Evaluates technical competency with help of QC dept while selecting a new supplier for outsourced jobs
• Ensure the glass is delivered to Third Party by Production and keep track of deliveries
• Escalate issue in time to Procurement head
• Monitor performance of vendors / contractors and take a follow-up action as necessary, to ensure timely delivery of goods and services ordered and in compliance with the terms & conditions of relevant purchase orders & contracts.
• Reports to VP SCM on the Number of Purchase orders and value by Supplier monthly
• Reports to VP SCM on the Claims statistics every month
