Coordination on contractual issues related to the project. Prepared and negotiated subcontract agreements in conjunction with purchasing and subcontract department. Developed and analyzed subcontract documentation. Developed a network of excellent long-term relationships at different levels in Client and Contractors’ organizations. Conduct regular meetings with appointed engineering contractor/construction contractor, specialist vendors and stakeholders and ensure smooth design, construction & commissioning. Coordination with planning department/engineers related to procurement and construction activities. Responsible for the co-ordination with Engineering Consultant to release the MR, BOQ, Specifications and P&ID and verifying the same with the tender documents. Preparation/Review of field Instrument specifications/Data sheets like Radar Level Transmitter, Coriolis Flow meter, Orifice Plate, Thermal Relief Valve, RTD element with Thermo well, Temperature Transmitter, Pressure Gauges, Electronic Transmitter with Field Mounted Indicator.
Ensure all activities are carried out are as per client/international standard, standard operating procedures, Systems & Project specification.
Checking and Analyzing the Engineering Drawings and P&IDs.To carry out/guide engineering consultant for required modifications in the layout drawings, P&ID’s, datasheets, C&E’s, Logics, IO database etc.
Well versed with instrument layouts, fire and gas layouts, cables schedules, I/O assignments for instruments, fire and gas, valves etc., cause and effect functionality, control narrative etc.Coordinate with all relevant groups towards achieving a timely & ergonomically robust central control facility for ICSS & (TAS) Terminal Automation System including the ESD, FGS and Tank Gauging as well as complete instrumentation activities in the facility within the budget. Coordination with all stake holders and finalizing the consoles, panels, engineering workstations that are required in the plant control room. Knowledge & active participation in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and PHSER study for the whole project and necessary specialist packages.SIL study/review, verification and assessment for applicable products.Involved in the preparation of SOP (Safe Operating Procedure) of the plant and related facilities. Responsible for the complete instrument procurement activities and also coordination with other discipline procurement activities for the project. Responsible for the co-ordination & supervision of the site activities, erection, installation & inspection of flow meter’s, control valve’s, transmitter’s, gauge’s etc.
Responsible for the Installation & Inspections of Instrumentation activities respective to their P&ID and hook-up drawings.
Control & Supervision of Cable tray installations, JB installations, support and frames fabrication etc.
Inspection of instrument installations, cablings, tray works and tubing’s, erection of panels and boxes etc.
Responsible for arranging / conducting / witnessing of FAT / SAT and other product acceptance test’s as per client’s requirement in coordination with the respective vendors.
Responsible for review & approval of MRB documents.
Preparation of necessary documentation for the weekly and monthly project progress review meetings with subcontractor’s and client.
Ensuring work done correctly and safely with Legal records.
Process/ derive loop status and progress reports for Management and Contractors.
Responsible for ensuring proper work done as per company’s HSE policies.
Supervise and guide the discipline staff to ensure that their work is of the required quality.
Installation of instruments based on the layout and hook up drawing.
Installation/Instrumentation Inspections respective to PID’s and layout.
Installation and inspection of fire and gas detectors.
Installation and maintenance of building fire alarm devices.
Glanding and termination of instrument’s, F&G devices and alarm units.
Preparation of BOQ for instrument hook up materials and instrument cable tray works etc.
