• Responsible for implementation of Health Safety & Environmental Management systems and Monitor construction activities.
• Followed-up / tracked of major incident corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinated in Safety audits, accident and incident investigations, and reporting and maintain a file for Safety statistics of the Project.
• Participated in conducting safety inspections and walkthrough at Project locations and rendering reports to the Project Management team for appropriate action.
• Coordinated with Clients on-site Safety activities, training programs, and emergency plans, drills, and procedures.
• Prepared necessary reports relative to the Project Safety as required by our Project Management, Consultants, and Clients.
• Participated in Weekly, Monthly Safety, and Progress Meetings with our Management, Consultants, Main Contractor and Client.
• Coordinated or assisted Subcontractors with their safety programs to meet the specific safety requirements.
• Standard of Health Safety and are incompliance with all Construction codes and safe working practices.
• Develop the safety team in to a fully operational HSE department on the project.
• Further, safety inspection reports issued to contractors are closed out for the specified period.
• Chair and co-ordinate weekly EHS meetings.
• Review, comment and approve contractor’s submittals such as Safety Plan, Task Risk
Assessments, Work Method Statements, JSA, PPE samples, etc.
• Assess and modify program presentation as needed to maximize their learning’s. Ensure that all HSE policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated to all staff across the project.
• To report accidents / near miss to client and to Top management of the organization.
• Liaised with all project personnel to plan develop and Implement a safety training program for all personnel on site and ensure Subcontractor compliance with acceptable.
Providing training to staff on hazardous materials or processes to prevent accidents
Conducting research on new materials or processes to improve safety
Inspecting equipment and facilities to ensure they meet safety standards
Recommending changes to equipment or work methods to improve safety
Following up on employee injuries to ensure they receive proper treatment and can return to work
Creating and maintaining occupational health and safety policies and procedures
Inspecting equipment to identify defects that could lead to accidents
Conducting investigations into accidents, injuries, or illnesses to identify the causes and suggest solutions
Establishing safety standards and policies to ensure that they are followed by all workers
Ensuring the personnel safety through developing safety measures for workers and ensuring that equipment is operated safely.
Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority.
Conducting inspections to ensure all safety regulations are being followed and that all safety equipment is in good working order and taking disciplinary action.
Conducting toolbox meetings for the team.
Regular review of Permit to Work protocol to ensure that it complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Performing root cause analysis for work related incident and accident investigation.
