Located 350 kms southwest of Muscat, Yibal Khuff is PDO’s most complex project due to its high sour hydrocarbons content and the second largest in size in PDO’s history.
ADCO approved Welding Engineer for "EPC FOR AL DABB’IYA SURFACE FACILITIES-PHASE III" Offshore clusters.
Planning of welding activities, Estimation of consumables, preparing pWPS, PQR and client
approved WPS. Qualifying welders accordingly. Monitoring of productivity and performance. Reporting of weekly
progress reports (DWR) and weld repair rates. Coordinating with client and contractor’s engineers / foremen for smooth
operations on daily basis.
Team size: 16 Welding foremen and 150 welders.
Welding Procedures, Welder Qualification, Productivity improvement, documentation, Quality review and progress monitoring, estimation of work quantum, planning of manpower related to welding.

Dy. Manager (Welding) . - Preparing and approving welding documents (WPS, PQR, WPQ),
interpretation of codes, standards and manufacturing instructions, evaluation of technical
requirements (contract review) and their implementation, third party and client inspection audits,
estimation, planning, selection of welding equipment, processes and their suitability and productivity, manpower selection and allocation, department administration.
Team size - 6 engineers, 120 welders.
Planning and execution of structural welded components. Preparation of WPS, qualification of welders, preparation of welding sequences, distortion control.
Selection of casting process, sands, binders for Aluminum castings, tolerances, furnace control.
Design of moulds, risers, elimination of casting defects
Repair and refurbishment of worn components in sugar and excavation industry. Selection of welding consumables, welding parameters, execution of weld repairs, testing of repaired
components.
Preparation of welding procedures, Productivity improvement,
supervision of welders, Welding documentation, Approval testing,
Selection and implementation of welding consumables, Procurement of welding consumables and accessories.
Inspection of fabricated structures. Coordination with client QC
inspectors, establish required WPS for various jobs on site and qualify welders accordingly, get the fabricated jobs approved by engineers from TELCO. About 1200 tonnes per month
