With M/s. Man Industries India Ltd as PLANT HEAD designated VICE PRESIDENT - OPERATIONS and reporting to Managing Director. I am responsible for all functional responsibilities of the plant such as Production, Maintenance, P&A, Finance, Purchase, Logistics, Stores, Man group is a leading manufacturer in SAW, Spiral pipes with coating, Aluminum Extrusion. Annual turn over is $ 150 million. I am responsible for their new projects coming up at Anjar in Gujarat.
Achievement: Within 30 days time, we have erected & commissioned 3-Roll cum JCO machine, Post Bending, Root Welding and and other auxiliary equipment and within seven months times all three plant i.e. SAW PLANT, SPIRAL PLANT, PIPE COATING erection is completed and commissioning started.
WGSRL is a company of manufacturing SAW & Spiral Pipes with Coating facilities. I joined as SR. MANAGER (PROJECTS) and got two promotions within a span of two years. As Sr. Manger Projects, I was looking after the Development & Expansion Projects such as 1000T Sizing Press, Third ID/OD Welding line, Hydraulic & Pneumatic system modification, Crimping press Modification, Forming Press capacity up gradation, Cement Coating Plant, Dust Collecting and and Pipe Handling Equipment, Pipe Fabrication Plant and others misc. Design, Development & Modification jobs of SAW Plant. In addition to PROJECT WORKS, I was also responsible for Mech. Maintenance, Production Tools manufacturing and workshop activity.
After completing the major developmental projects, I got transferred to Operation dept As General Manager Operations. My major responsibilities are PPC, Production, Maintenance, Tooling and up gradation of the Technology to enhance the capacity and capability of the plant, Co-ordination with TPI, Technical Representation with Customers, Development of the Human Resources, Inventory control, cost control with budgeting system and other misc. responsibilities such as team leader of various committee such as House Keeping, Outsider plant visit and their securities, and Safety Committee etc.
Achievement: After taking responsibility of Operation department, we have achieved 100% more productivity within one and half year. During the period with Workshop & Projects, nos. of equipments manufactured in house from the concept. Tooling developed in our workshop, which are Import substitute, Capacity enhancement by changing the Mannesmann (Germany) technology, Imported spares developed in India. My Confidence built-up to handle any department or nos. of departments such as PPC, PRODUCTION, MAINTENANCE, and WORKSHOP AND PROJECTS through various training programs and adding educational qualification.
With M/s. REMI METALS GUJARAT LTD. RMGL is an Integrated Seamless steel tube manufacturing plant from steel scrape. I had joined as Sr.Engineer (Mechanical) and left as MANAGER PIPE PLANT. I got Three Promotions during my tenure with RMGL. I was associated with the company from green field stage (Projects) to Production. During this period I worked in PROJECT Dept. (Overhauling, Erection & Commissioning work) of Extrusion Press 2500T, SRM, Rolling Mill, Cooling Bed, Pilger mill, Hydro tester, Weigh Bridge, Compressor, Straightener, Structural & fabrication works, Material Handling and other Mechanical Equipments.
After commissioning of Plant, I was looking after Operation and Maintenance Pipe Plant with addition responsibility of Machine Shop, PPC and MIS Department. I was also involved in tooling and spare development (totally we made it indigenisation). I was also involved in Man power planning, Recruitment and training of Personnel at various levels.
Achievement: Stainless steel extrusion done without any outside technological help, Old Plant overhauling and nos. of modification done in German machines, MIS system developed. Imported spares developed in house.
With M/s. MAHARASHTRA SEAMLESS LTD. (JINDAL GROUP) as Engineer. I started my career in this organization with the PROJECT WORKS (Assembly, Erection and Commissioning). After commissioning of
the plant, I was working in the Planning department as Sr. Engineer (Planning ) and looking after the Raw material planning, production planning, process planning & MIS.
Achievement:- Rich experience in Seamless Pipe Manufacturing Technology. MIS developed.
With M/s. LUNA ENGINEERING WORKS. (Drilling Rigs and Pump Manufacturing Plant) as Service Engineer. Here I was responsible for Erection, Commissioning and Servicing of water well and Exploration
Drilling Rigs, Compressor, Pump and Hydraulic system.
I was the part time lecturer in The Indian Institute of Engineers, Mehsana, for the period of one and half
years.
Achievement:- Experience in Machine Building and way of thinking for technological improvement. I had Designed and Developed D.T.H. Hydraulic Rig of 1000ft.depth capacity in hard rock by using 6 ½” Drill pipe successfully.
With M/s. VISHWAKARMA AGRO INDUSTRIES. ( Pump & Foundry Unit) as a Mechanical Engineer. I was looking after the manufacturing, assembly and testing of Turbine and Submersible Pump.
Achievement:- Production increased by 20% by changing the plant layout and time study.
