• Collecting information from the local authorities and services providers in vicinity of the project for the existing/ proposed utilities.
• Prepare/assist in the design of wet utilities (Potable water, Storm water, Sanitary, Irrigation and Firefighting).
• Prepare authority submissions for wet utilities.
• Liaise with authorities (DEWA, DM, AACM, ADSSC, AADC, etc.) to obtain approvals(NOC's) on design, connection points, loading demands, etc.
• Prepare demand load calculations for master planning stage for wet utilities.
• Attend progress meetings with clients and contractors.
• Preparation of design reports, drawings, hydraulic calculation tables for clients and authorities.
• Ensure that design tasks and deliverables confirm the system and quality standards and its compliancy with authorities and clients standards and manuals.
• Attend meetings along with Senior Engineer/Manager for approvals with authorities.
• Project work entailed measurement and collection of field data on site visits and on field recording of data, .
• Coordinating with the Laboratory Technician and arrange for sampling and testing of collected data
• Analysis and evaluation of data recorded and sample test results, technical report writing
• In charge of collecting meteorological data from the meteorological observatory in the institute on a daily basis
The role involves a combination of research and teaching activities, with appropriate organisation of these activities and contribution(s) to departmental administration.
• Develop and implement innovative instructional methods
• Guide, lead and mentor students in research projects.
• Create, innovate and implement career-enhancement programs and activities.
• Evaluate, monitor and mentor student academic progress.
• Supervise and support teaching assistants.
• Serve and support functional activities of departmental committees
• Assist and support senior professors in their day-to-day tasks and functions
• Responsible for management of material and human resources on sites
• Assist engineers in designing layout and site research
• Coordinate with site inspectors to check the ongoing project status and development
• Check the material quality as per prescribed standards
• Inspect and ensure the construction is in line with the blue print
• Perform cost analysis and prepare budget for senior management review
• Supervising site activities and providing technical inputs for troubleshooting with site execution team.
Master of Technology (M.Tech) Degree in Water Resources Engineering and Management, a specialization in Civil Engineering
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Degree in Civil Engineering
High School Degree for Higher Studies
