The works performed includes CIVA simulation of the model to find out the maximum sensitivity possible to attain at a distance of 400 (FBH 1mm hole) in a 800mm diameter rotor and experimental verification of the same.
It also includes finding the effects of curvature and the correction factor for different diameters and development of this table onto a plot for improving the desired sensitivity.
As a project student at Indhira Gandhi Centre For Atomic Research, i am working on the project "Inspection of Thick Rotor Forgings using Conventional and Phased Array ultrasonic techniques". My qualifications include ASNT level 11 accreditation in RT UT PT MT.
