Duties And Responsibilities
-Obtaining clinical histories, conducting physical examinations, requesting relevant investigations and interpretation of the investigation results.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating patient’s plan of care.
-Counseling and advising patients on issues related to specialist area.
-Documenting all relevant information correctly, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
-Reviewing evidence based medicine protocols to guide treatment choice and standards of patient care.
-Assisting in promoting and sharing knowledge via mentorship in line with relevant research and evidence based practice.
-Contributing to the achievement of quality clinical outcome indicators and patient satisfaction.
-Participating in Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
-Collecting data as appropriate and providing feedback to relevant parties.
-Participating in the promotion and maintenance of effective communication and teamwork.
-Treating colleagues, patients, and visitors with dignity and respect at all time.
-Promoting a safe environment and safe patient care by embracing a safety culture and identifying areas of risk to supervisor.
-Participating in staff orientation aimed at developing competence and performance.
-Assisting in maintaining a suitable learning environment and acts as a preceptor/mentor in the supervision and teaching of students and new staff to develop their competence.
-Participates in self and other’s education, training and development, as applicable.
Patients diagnosis, treating, conducting health education and referral whenever necessary
-Adhering to the professional Code of Conduct and Ethics
-Preparing reports and submitting to supervisor
Supervising the enrolled nurses and other staffs on duty.
