Managing MEP construction activities of the KAP-2D project.
KAP-2D project is one of the Saudi Ministry of Interior development projects, consisting of many sites, in different cities. Each site is divided into 3 major parts, i.e. Emergency Forces Camp, Housing and Medical Center, a total of around 60 service buildings to be build, and a buildup area of around 86, 500 m2.
The project’s civil part is managed and build by the main contractor J&P.
Managing MEP works for a Hospital Project, Maternity Hospital Project for the National Guards, a project of 300 beds’ main hospital building, with 3 parking buildings and a utility building. A total build up area of 137, 700 m2, and total MEP price of 379m SRs.
Managing Hospitals Projects, mainly King Fahad Medical City Project, a project of 521.5m SAR, MEP works for a Proton Therapy Center, Neuroscience, Cardiac, Cancer, and Laboratories. Total build up area of around 250, 000 m2.
Moreover, another hospital project is almost completed, King Khalid Hospital project. A 570-Beds hospital with 32 operation rooms, CSSD, MRI, X-ray, Cyclotron, ... etc. Total build up area of around 80, 000 m2. and a value of 210m SAR.
Managing the construction activities of the MEP works for one of the largest projects in Amman. Abdali Boulevard Project, headed by Saudi Oger, as the main contractor and 3 MEP companies, Masar, Mid & Al-Fayhaa (joined together to form a venture), as the MEP subcontractor.
The project is mainly a 5 story car parking space, located under ground and 12 buildings on top (above ground), buildings of ground, gallery, technical, 4-6 typical, roof and top of roof floors, with prestigious landscapes. A total build area of 250, 000 m2.
- June 2007- Sept. 2008, Ajman Corniche Residence Project, Ajman, UAE
Construction of 7 residential towers of B+G+42 to 54 floors, managing the MEP works in this 1.050 billion AED project.
- April 2006- June 2007, Dubai Lagoon Project at Dubai Investment Park, Dubai, UAE
Construction of Dubai Lagoon Residential Project, managing the MEP works in the 1.075 billion AED project, where 49 buildings, of B+G+8 are being built. Works include infrastructure, landscaping and a 22, 000 m2 water lagoon.
A “Fast Track”, 520m QRs. project. 32 buildings, mosque and infrastructure, Civil & MEP completion works, where the cost of MEP section (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Infrastructure) is 152m QRs. Heading the Electro-Mechanical department, with 9 electrical & mechanical engineers, supervising the works that is totally subcontracted to a foreign MEP company.
Heading the mechanical section in two Water Supply Projects in Amman City, C-10 & C-12, rehabilitation works, including installation of water pumps, compressors, surge drums, chlorination systems and piping works. Projects included Pump Stations, Reservoirs, Deep Water Wells and DI pipelines.
Managing the project's mechanical section of "Building three Water Booster Pumping Stations, with 45 kms. of DI Pipeline. Works included the installation of 6 new wells' pumps.
Mechanical works for the project "SAFCO Ammonia-Urea Plant", Supervising piping & Equipment erection for the Ammonia area, works included punch listing, hydrotesting and system completion.
Responsible on piping and equipment erection in the Furnace and Utilities area for the project "PTA & Aromatics, Ibn Rushd Plant".
Responsible on fabrication, welding, blasting, painting and installation of piping spools for the "QAPCO Ethylene Expansion Project". Responsibility involves the connection of new plant with existing plant.
Trading building material, tools and hardware. Contracting the finishing electro-mechanical works for houses and small buildings.
Started in the company as a mechanical workshops foreman. 1986, I was promoted to a senior foreman position looking after minor mechanical projects. 1988, promoted to mechanical construction supervisor, supervising company major projects.
