Main Duties and Responsibilities
Manage & support more than 200 UNIX Physical Server (750 physical and virtual (Solaris Zones and VMWare VMs) hosting most mission and business critical Orange Telecom services:
• Managed department staffing, including recruitment, supervision, development, evaluation and motivation for a staff of 8 full time employees
• Managing and supporting different IT applications/tools to serve Orange services: call centers, shops, and corporate such as Billing, CRM, ERP, Reporting tools (Data Warehouse & BI), Intranet/Internet Portals. etc.
• Research new technologies and check future needs to keep the technical infrastructure is kept up to date.
• Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively work within strict time frames and elevate incidents within defined timeframes
• Ensure high availability of enterprise system and data platforms that support internal employee business
• Capacity planning, performance analysis, assist with business continuity & disaster recovery and testing,
• Manage maintenance contracts and reduce the OPEX.
• Provide Full support for OS (Solaris/RedHat & AIX) and Solaris virtualization (zones and Ldoms); Patching and Performance tuning on IBM/ORACLE M & T5 Series and HPE C7000
• Manage, Monitor and audit using automated scripts and build-in systems utilities.
• Installation and Management of Cluster services. (Veritas Volume Manger, Veritas Cluster and Linux RHCS).
• Installation, configuration of VMware ESXi 6.5 & Cluster
• Migration of Local existing machines (P2V) and from the Public Cloud to the local one (V2V).
• Full administration including Backup and restore, patching, performance tuning and monitoring.
• Penetration testing and Vulnerability Management and keep system up to date
• Securing UNIX servers using native tools and new written scripts.
• Supervise managed services (hosting services) for external customers and collaborate with other departments (Nuqul Group & IEC).

Expert storage from 2007 to 2011:
• Documented and implemented operational storage best practice processes and procedures related to the EMC storage environment, consistently completing each project milestone in compliance with strict timelines and project requirements.
• Evaluated current storage environments in two datacenters that included EMC & VMware sphere Linux and Windows supporting Oracle database and SAP applications.
