• Working as a GIS team leader managing projects, tasks, and customer requests along the kingdom. Also managing expanses for the projects, form salaries to every day expanse.
• Working as a tender officer, researching tenders, gathering necessary information about the tender, possible work plan, prices, and partners, and also writing the technical proposal.
• Working with the latest mobile mapping technology, such as LiDAR which is a car carrying a laser scanner which generate 1m point (x, y, z) on al point cloud form, then working on the process of these point and gathering information from them, such as 3D features and normal measurements. Also working with VISAT technology which is a car with 6 cameras, GPS and INS, working together to get geo-referenced images from reality that can be used to gather information such as 3D features and normal measurements.
• Working with aerial photos enhancement and processing with one of the biggest companies in the aerial photogrammetry field.
• Working with normal GPS surveying tasks such as control points, and point’s measurements.
Handled planning, researching, field-work, digitizing and all mapping operations work in
Saudi Arabia. My missions were to produce, maintain and delivery for Saudi Arabia
database and any other countries covered in NAVTEQ map with agreed quality and
NAVTEQ specifications on time and within budget, while constantly improving the process.
Working in Saudi Arabia projects was a very good opportunity to learn the professional work procedures as it was creation-country and dealing with different divisions to create a
better Database map.
Along with working in Saudi Arabia project, I was responsible for maintenance of the Saudi Arabia database, by keeping it within NAVTEQ specifications, also working with any source data bought by NAVTEQ, checking it value for the company, analysis, and integration into the database, using GIS technology such as ARCGIS, and some other customized software’s specially designed for the company.
Also I was responsible for the customer questions, and query about some problems in the Saudi Arabia database, by answering and fixing any situation faced.
