Key Duties/ Responsibilities:

Carrying out the following Strategic duties and responsibilities:

1- Advise the Group on all strategic procurement matters, and act as the source of the group's procurement expertise.
2- Lead the process for the development of procurement procedures, based on the effective procurement policy, business needs and any relevant external regulations ensuring full compliance.
3- Monitor and steer the delivery of the groupʼs procurement activities and to assist in ensuring
procurements are undertaken in accordance with the group's stated aims, objectives, policies and
procedures.
4- Maintain and update as necessary, the group's corporate procurement strategy, and to ensure the successful delivery of that strategy.

Carrying out the following operational duties and responsibilities:

1- Supervise the execution of entire procurement process and day‑to‑day procurement functions such as: verify the technical specifications or terms of reference, prepare and launch tender documents, RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, arrange and facilitate vendors' site visits, respond to written queries or requests for clarifications, facilitate evaluation panel, prepare evaluation reports, carry out price reasonableness analysis, prepare and award contracts, notify about contract award and conduct debriefing with suppliers.
2- Develop sourcing and procurement strategies and activities that support key business objectives.
3- Develop and execute a long‑term strategy to facilitate improvements for Procurement Services.
4- Ensure the execution of procurement strategies across the group to ensure consistent and high‑quality value delivery.
5- Implement best practices in procurement and supplier management to support commercial and operational objectives.
6- Ensure the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures, and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage the acquisition and reporting of third‑party spend across the Group.

Undertake specific tests on the raw materials, on the product at the end of each manufacturing stage and on the final products, in accordance to Qatari and European Specs. Manage and review-supplying contracts, customer contracts, conclude maintenance contracts for (HVAC, FF, FA, Electrical system, Elevators). Chemical Process Engineer - Trainee at AFPC ( Al Furat Petroleum Company) ( Shell Syria )

I had joined the company as a trainee/ Process Engineer. As per the company policy, new joiners should be enrolled in a full, integrated and international training program. The first phase of this program consists of the followings: 1- English training: Since all the training materials are in English, I had follow an intensified English training program for a period of three month. 2-Technical training (eight month): sub-surface technical courses: Geology and exploration, Basic Reservoir, Drilling Technology, well service & well completions & Production technology. Surface technical courses: Oil production & processing, fundamental HSE, Gas production and processing, Technical integrity and corrosion, water treatment & water injection, Maintenance of rotating & stationary equipment, ESR (Electrical Safety Rules), Basics of Electrical maintenance, oil transformation and Storage, Workshop of Artificial lift and Basics of instrumentation & Process control. 3- Soft skills training (two month): including the following courses: Report writing, Team Work, Presentation Skills and communication Skills. The second major stage, which I followed, was including some advanced technical courses for chemical and petroleum Engineers, along with OJT (On Job Training) and the followings are the names of those courses: Advanced Reservoir Engineering, Reservoir Characterization, Reservoir Stimulation and EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery). At the end of each previous mentioned course, there was a mandatory test should be passed by the trainee, to be able to move to the next course. One of my achievements at this stage was getting the highest scores in a group of 40 engineers and the company documents this. Based on the results of courses' tests, I have been ranked 1st in a group of 40 engineers.

Although I did not proceed for on-site work, but this training program enhance and improve my engineering skills in general, and in oil and gas industry in specific.
