Visit new and existing customers within designated sales area to negotiate prices, securing best cargo mix to meet the various volume and NP/NPI targets set as per Sales plan / Game Plan / budget / ADP.

Face-to-face contact with customers to support account management, customer service and credit control. (NB Non-sales issues to be addressed by relevant department, but Outside Sales may front discussions with customer.)
● Prospecting (proactive)
Telesales activity to quote new customers and canvas existing customers for additional bookings.
● Tenders
Oversee completion of allocated tenders
● Quotation
Deliver timely quotes in line with Trade NP/NPI targets. Negotiate/liaise with Trade and Regional Operations department as required to provide quotes.
Proactively make contact with customers to develop new opportunities and communicate tariffs and conditions as Trade and Area Management may require (GRI, PSS, PU/DO, DEM/DET etc.)
● Communication / rate logging
Communicate agreed rates and quotes made within MOL organisation according to current communication procedures. Update rate sheets at time of GRIs etc.
Confirm missing rates and pass “non-sales” customer enquiries to Customer Services.
