Egyptian Gulf for Marine Brokerage Co. is a member of EGCSS Group which hold
many companies under its ownership in Kuwait, Egypt, and USA working for Freight,
Import, Export, Food processing, Drilling Mud Chemicals & many other Fields
As Freight and Logistics Manager for such group I’ve a lot of responsibilities
1- Making annual Freight and Logistics Business Plan for Kuwait and Egypt
Branches including sub plans such as
a. Marketing and Sales plan including new team members training
plan
b. Financial plan
c. New business / Markets feasibility studies
d. Preparing plan & Workflow to match any new customs
regulations
2- Controlling and follow-up Marketing and Sales team
3- Controlling and follow-up Operations team
4- Controlling and follow-up Accounts team
5- Checking the weekly reports provided by team leaders to discover any
issues or unreported cases to verify the accuracy of the reports
6- Preparing the monthly reports to the group top management
7- Controlling and follow-up the administration issues with local sponsor and
HR team leader
8- Taking responsibility of managing total team of 58 employees
9- Help other sister companies to open new markets such as oilfield chemicals
supply specially in Kuwait
During my work with the group I had many achievements
1- Converting the workflow cycle from a manual one to computerized and
automated using some customized software
2- Joining Clean Fuels Project (CFP) project as sub-contractor in cooperation
with KGL and Hyupjin Shipping Co.
3- Registering the company with Central Agency for Public Tenders in Kuwait
4- Registering the company with Suez Canal Authority and SCZONE, Egypt
5- Making the plan for 20, 000 square matters logistics area related to the
group in SCZONE, Egypt
6- Long-term freight and logistics services contract with Combined
technologies co. Kuwait
7- Earning many clients working for oilfield in Kuwait and Egypt
8- Later on, the company opened a branch Known as (CARRYFRESH) in
Kuwait working for fresh vegetables, fruits and some other foodstuff, I had
a big hand with this branch to build a delivery and distribution team and
workflow

KFMB & KSC are the main foodstuffs producers and suppliers in Kuwait, too much
items are imported, so many shipments to be handled daily, too much international
payment must be handled daily, controlling such big volume business requires too
much professionalism, accuracy, follow-up and reports,
My responsibilities
1- To cooperate with Purchasing Department to Follow-up orders
negotiations with suppliers to get the best terms for the company
2- To Cooperate with Financial Department to arrange required financial
support to finalize deals with suppliers
3- Arranging monthly financial plan related to the expected shipments
4- Handling shipments with Marine lines and Airlines
5- Handling customs clearance for all imported / exported shipments
6- Handling all governmental approvals for all incoming shipments
7- To cooperate with Stores Department to manage handling and storage for
all shipments
8- Controlling follow-up team of 11 employees reported directly to me
9- Arranging weekly, monthly reports to the CEO
My Achievements
After I’ve joined KFMB and in cooperation with IT department I’ve managed to
computerize using Oracle ERP all my tasks to achieve the maximum benefits for
the all the company’s departments and factories.

materials & equipment supply
My responsibilities
1- Handling shipments with Marine lines and Airlines
2- Handling customs clearance for all imported / exported shipments
3- Handling all governmental approvals for all incoming shipments
4- Controlling materials distribution, trucks, drivers, stores and sub-stores
including construction locations stores
5- To cooperate with field managers to provide the required materials exact in
time required to follow the construction schedule and timeline
6- Taking responsibility of managing team of 19 drivers and employees
reported directly to me
7- Arranging weekly, monthly reports to the CEO

The company is one of the reputed companies in Egypt, I've started working for the
company as a Commercial Manager. Latter I was promoted to the position of Branch
Manager.

Operation Manager

I've started working for the company as an Air Cargo Officer. After a long period of hard
work and success, I was promoted to the position of Operations Manager. I became
responsible for all logistic, all freight modes, transport and customs clearance operations
at the company.
