° Monitoring the performance and capacity of enterprise systems. ° Performing regular checks on network hardware and software. ° Responding to network alerts and hardware system issues. ° Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP ° Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation ° Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security °Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
°Manage and maintain the MTN Monitoring Systems (these report on the status and performance of MTN network, ISP services and facilities). ° Fault handling and escalation (identifying and responding to faults on MTN's systems and networks, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, handling escalation through to resolution). ° Provisioning (IP assignment, core network configuration, DNS setup, monitoring and graphing for co-location, leased lines, customer backup and other customer network services). ° Server build and installs, application upgrades, network equipment build and installation. Maintaining hardware serial audits, writing custom monitoring plugins and configuring bespoke graphing. ° Development of knowledge and skills in network and system administration, particularly with regard to MTN own architecture and platforms. ° Tier 3 Support for co-location, customer backup network and ISP services. °Participate in a 24x7 call-out rota if required.
°Provide Tier 2 support to incident tickets received from monitoring/alerting systems & end-users. °Coordinate the response to Major Incidents (MI) to ensure a timely restoration of service. °Monitor abnormalities and execute restoration procedures following documented processes. °Perform diagnostics to remediate detected/reported incidents. °Support change activities by executing documented procedures
1- Drive Testing for GSM & UMTS using TEMS 13.0.3, 16 and TEMS symphony.Have work experience with \{Single site verification (SSV) And Benchmark DT\}
Network performance and quality of service analysis reporting using TEMS Discovery 4.0 professional.
