Currently operating at Country Director level in the international Energy workforce solutions & recruit- ment industry, I am an experienced sales and business development leader who is able to apply my skills to multiple sectors. As the Country Director for UAE & Iraq I am responsible for our overall business performance and oversee sales, business development, operational activities and general performance in line with the group wide strategy and financial objectives. My remit includes the management of two offices (Dubai & Abu Dhabi) comprising of 20 staff, as well as our operations in Iraq.
Responsibilities include:
• Offering senior support on our key UAE & Iraq accounts (three dedicated account managers report into me)
• Leading a renewed Iraq BD strategy with specific focus on alternative IOC clients and diversifica- tion sectors.
• Leading the UAE diversification strategy and team into new sectors (Power/ Alternative Energy/ Infrastructure)
• UAE business improvements aimed at securing new business licenses and improved operational effectiveness
• Part of the regional expenditure reduction group tasked with implementing the required changes in my locations
• Continuous analysis of our service lines, business streams and client base
• Input into regional budget and the ongoing forecasting/ reporting
• As part of the regional leadership team I support new country BD and strategy formation when
required
• Represent the company in various trade organisations and networking groups including the BBG/
EIC/ NOF & Dubai Petroleum Club
• Oversee bids & tenders and client proposals in my locations
• Ongoing staff management, training and performance reviews
• Working closely with our Finance and Global Mobility managers to assist their efforts and provide
input when required
• Formulation and regular tracking of a risk register, to measure performance versus target
