Projects: Bahrain International Airport - Airport Modernization Program.

Duties: Administration of contentious matters include correspondence relating to variations and claims (quantum and time), and managing the same. Commercial management of construction works on various valuations and reports.

Achievement: Successfully introduced project procedure for implementation and monitoring of claims in a timely manner. Successfully secured contractually valid Engineer’s Instructions (200 nos.) and raised 980 nos. of Contractor’s Claim Notices related to entitlement on Time and Cost Impact and provide commercial support in Claim Submissions

Project: Abu Dhabi International Airport - MTB Expansion Project.

Duties: Administration of contentious matters include correspondence relating to variations and claims (quantum and time). Commercial management of construction works on various valuations and reports. Provide commercial support to in-house consultants for Time Impact Analysis and Extension of Time Claims submissions. Include collaborating necessary BIM information to support Main Contractor’s claims.

Achievement: Successfully eliminated / reduced unsubstantiated claims of AED 300 million from the Subcontractors. Provide commercial support to Claims Department in Extension of Time Claims and secured 10 months E.O.T. from the Employer.

Type of Contract: Bespoke Dubai Government Contract with main features of FIDIC's Lump Sum Fixed Price Contract.

Duties: Report to Chief Quantity Surveyor on contractual and commercial issues include the followings:
-Contract Administration issues.
-Managing, organising and supervising a team of Junior and Intermediate QS on daily basis.
-Monthly Interim Valuation for MEP Works for Aviation elements such as Special Airport System (SAS), Specialist Installation, Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, P&D, Fire Alarm, Fire Protection.
-Budget Estimation related to potential Variation items for Client's Approval prior to issuance of Instruction.
-Assessment/Negotiate/Agreeing of Variation Account.
-Preparation/Finalisation of Remeasure BoQ with MEP Contractor prior to submission for Client's Approval.
-Final Account Recommendation.
-Preparation of Monthly Financial Reports for the Client.
-Provide assistance to Client's Claim Consultant on dispute items prior to Arbitration proceedings.

Project: Labour Accommodation Complex Dhs 377 Million, Shipping Control & Central Administration Building Dhs 140 Million.

Type of Contract: FIDIC with Lump Sum Fixed Price.

Duties: Report to Commercial Manager on contractual and commercial issues, including Tender Analysis, Interim Valuation, Variation Account, Final Account, Financial Proposal, Contractual Claims and Preparation of various Commercial Reports.

Note: Please note the short period of working in this company was due to recession and followed by retrenchment of majority staff.

Project: Index Building. Complete Design and Construction of all MEP works for 79 storey mixed use Office, Residential and Retail building at Dubai International Financial Centre, based upon the Design & Performance Criteria of the Foster and Partners Signature Building (Dhs 260 million).

Main Contractor: Nasa Multiplex.

Employer: Union Property.

Type of Contract: Design & Build with Target Cost and Share of Saving.

Duties (Head Office):Report to Managing Surveyor on contractual issues, including preparation of Subcontract Agreements and Work Packages, Supply Agreements for Suppliers, Interim Valuation, Variation Account, Final Account, Preparing Commercial Reports including Cost Value Prediction and Operating Statement for Cash Flow Monitoring purpose.

Duties (Site Office): Report to Project Manager on Commercial issues, including contract administration with Main Contractor and Subcontractors. Procurement of Subcontract Work Packages, Tender Analysis, Selection and Awarding of Subcontractors.

Project: Northumberland House-Westmisnter: Refurbishment Work for 264 units of student apartment for London School of Economics and 288 Units of hotel rooms (£34 million).

Employer: Masterworks Corporation.

Type of Contract: Cost Plus.

Duties: Report to Managing Surveyor on post contract admin, managing sub-contract packages, measurement, interim valuation, final account.

Packages: Pigeon deterrent (£13K), Brickwork (£20K), Roofing, Window & Flooring (£300K), Furniture Fitting & Equipment (£300K), Refuse/Linen Chute (£30K).

Project (1): Institute of Cancer Research, UCL

Duties: Reported to Senior Surveyor and Managing Surveyor on Post Contract admin, Budget and cost monitoring, Managing sub-contract packages, contract admin, measurement, interim valuation, final account.

Packages Involved: Ground & Framework (£1million), Drylining Package (300K), Roofing Package (100K).

Project (2): Imperial Wharf Fulham Mixed Development £28 million.

Employer: St George Plc.

Type of Contract: Design & Build with Lump Sum Fixed Price.

Duties: Report to Senior Surveyor on procurement, post-contracting admin e.g. Budget and cost monitoring, managing sub contract packages, contract admin, measurement, interim valuation, final account.

Packages Involved: Ground Framework (£4.6 million), Dry lining (£1.7 million), Ceiling (£400K), Plastering and Screeding (£360K), Waterproofing (£350K), Painting & Decorating (£590K), Soft Floor Finishes (£300K), Diamond Drilling (£80K).
