With the Market Situation in Bahrain I had an offer in Gulf Air in order to get a carrier shift and get into the more complex systems - one of the most complex systems in Bahrain - and I joined in a very critical time with all the projects were just started and there is shortage in staff which give me a good chance to take the lead in many of the projects and below are the list of projects carried away in less than 6 months’ time:

- Exchange Server 2010 enhancement & upgrade
- Service Pack Deployment & Patch Management solution
- eMail Spam - redesign, plan and implementation
- Frequent Flyer Software upgrade and configuration
- Two Major Operation systems upgrade (eHRM and aviation system)
- DR site implementation, testing and go-live
- VMWARE upgrade - still in progress
- Main Data center update (change of servers, enclosures and design)
- Secure Wireless and laptops encryption
- Backup Solution upgrade - still in progress
- SCCM, Certificate Authority, Citrix, Blackberry, email Signature, CA Support Desk & LANDESK

Been part of the server team in Gulf Air give me access to all serves (Windows/Unix/Linux/Mac) and provided me a good understanding of the It environment that Gulf Air have it also refreshed my knowledge of the available technologies already applied and in place with a good horizon for upgrade/update.

It was a new challenge for me, the management saw that I will be a key player & a key element in their new subsidiary company Diyafa, which is mainly Focused on the Services & Hospitality with their current Business Center operational - Global Executive Offices - and the upcoming New Business Center - Fist Point Executive offices - which was lunch on May because of the IT systems been in place & operational for the customers.

Main projects carried out in the business centers:

- Create the whole IT environment, network, communication - IP & Internet - plus provide monitoring for both usage & billing

- Video conferencing & teleconferencing



- email Configurations, Setup & full deployment

- Microwave installation & maintenance with minimum downtime.

- Access Control systems - rooms/ floors/ security devices/ locks / other secuirty aspects.


Also in addition, it was the Hospitality sector with Fine dining restaurants from IT - HR system, POS system, complete networking & communications. In addition to new aspects of Administration work

Since starting this job with GBCORP, they were in preparation to shift their current location to GBCORP main tower at the Bahrain financial harbor in which my job was to do the following tasks:

1- Look after all tasks for the shift (either IT/ Operations/ Security/ property/ and Corporate communications)
