• To provide, operate and maintain reliable, cost effective and efficient telecommunications services to QP Dukhan Operations.
• Liaises and coordinates with regulatory agency, telecoms service provider and other regulatory agencies.
• Produces statements of requirements, detailed design specifications and scope of works to various project implemented by department.
• Monitors and review subsequent report received from subordinates and perform necessary action.
• Responsible for the approving within authority to various documents and request to support project implementation.
• Contributes to the preparation of division budget to ensure continued smooth operation.
• Act as Head of Telecomms and Telecomms Maintenance Engineer during delegations and focal point with senior management key personnel and government bodies.
• Process Engineering, Contractual and MIS documentation for files archiving for project success.
• Coordinating between contractor for successful system engineering, installation, testing and commissioning and as built documentation/records.
• Driving Engineering completions towards systems on time manufacturing, installation & testing and commissioning activities completions.
• Working with management for contractual and scope issues resolutions.
• Organizing technical/contractual meetings/workshops among contractors for resolving design issues and technical RFIs.
• Reviewing contract and working with QS department for claims review and justifications prior to acceptance of claims.
• Completed systems site inspections as per agreed protocol and engineering documentation.
• Working on project as installation and commissioning approver of the following:
1. IP/MPLS Project for Dukhan Operation which includes CCTV/PAGA Systems.
2. SDH/PDH Migration
3. Security ACS/CCTV system
4. SCADA System
• As initiator of the following projects:
1. Dukhan Township CCTV System
2. Renovation of 14 Conference Rooms
3. AVLS on TETRA Systems
4. Fire Safety and Control Room
Over all in-charge of engineering department for the design, installation and customer support group, task includes identification of equipment to be installed and recommend to customer requirement. Monitor installation of the following systems such as PABX, CCTV, UHF/VHF radios and repeaters, Cable TV using fiber optics from headend to line amplifier and coaxial distribution to customer, installation of satellite antenna systems. Structured cabling for Networking and other peripherals.
Design consultant for a nationwide fiber optics backbone network, task includes outside plant survey, transmission group, vendor product evaluation and attendance to technical evaluation committee.
• Conceptualize the most cost-effective fiber network possible outside plant design and methods for the implementation.
• Using fiber blowing method using microducts.
• Conducted walk thru for identification of cable route which includes identification of specific manhole location.
• Instructed CAD operator for the engineering plan which includes the cable entrance facilities.
• Initiated listing of bill of quantity for corporate estimate.
• As network operation engineer which created and implemented procedure that minimized downtime and outages for a cellular network infrastructure. Job description includes design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of the network. System such as microwave, multiplexer, LTU, base station, switch, modems, power supply and cablings.
• As business office support engineer tasked to assist costumer service on technical issues concerning request and complaint of subscribers.
• Trained new engineer on network operation and supervise employees on the system.
