Eltel has been a step up in the career, and very educational. Here I have worked as supervisor for a team of at least 30 electrician. At the beginning of the project I worked together with another supervisor in a group where we were jointly responsible for 30 installers who change electrical meters. We also provide education and training for these electricians, so per today i have probably trained around 100 electricians since the beginning of the project. After the summer 2023, we restructured in the company and split up the teams in Stockholm, so currently I work by myself, and am responsible for about 18 electricians by myself. Its a rotational job, so I work for one week, then Im of for one
week. and we work around 12 hour days, but my position requires extra work in the evenings to plan for the next day, so i am usually working around 14 hour days. In my role I am responsible for: Planning jobs for each day, planning jobs in their entirety. We have approx. 20, 000 work orders per area, which we always have to have an overall control on. Safety, that all electricians follow the safety regulations and work in a safe manner. I am also responsible for the fleet of work cars, which ones which must be sent for service or if any of them had an accident. Also has responsibility for 2 warehouse staf who look after that our warehouse has everything needed and is clean and fresh. Here we work a lot in the diferent Microsoft programs, mainly Excel. And also we have our own computer programs that we use for Planning, work order handling, and handling our workforce.
Worked on the project side at Preem oil refinery, which is the biggest oil refinery in the Nordics, where we performed new installations based on new projects for Preem. The work i did there was to work from the project planning from start to a finished product. A lot of installation of cable ladders, cable routing and connections in Substations or Signal stations. And also connections and mounting of diferent instruments used in the refinery process. I also has experience in control systems and substations. Always working from a drawings and files so i got very used to figuring things out by drawings. I also participated in a lot of other exciting projects with Midroc. Among other things, I have been involved in one project in Stockholm where Stockholm water and sewage is expanding its treatment plant. There it was mainly the substation we built. A lot of pulling and installation with 240m3 cable, and connection. Have also been and worked on the Revition stop at Ringhals nuclear power plant, where there was also substation replacement, as well as replacement of relay room. A lot of wiring in cabinets and splicing of cables. The last project I was involved in at Midroc was to restore Arvika Foundry where they make gearboxes for Volvo. After a great fire erupted there. The work there in the beginning, was to demolish and remove all the electrical equipment destroyed by the fire. Then after the cleanup we started the reassembly of the foundry. A lot of technical steps, and i got to participate in very exciting things and learn a lot of new things, as this was a very diferent type of industry than i previously worked at. It was also one of my first assignment where I got a lot of personal responsibility over one specific part of the foundry.
Had my internship here, and also worked weekends and holidays. I was able to participate in new constructions of houses, total renovations, and renovations of apartments. Also got to try installing solar panels. I was working here my last year of school
