Consultancy Services in the Conduct of Feasibility Study for the completion of Metro Manila Circumferential Road 5 (C-5) and Other Priority Road/Interchange Project (PRIP) and Traffic Mitigating measures Cum Environmental, Social and Gender Aspect C-5 and PRIP
Several Proposed Project has been conducted FS and submitted the Final Report to DPWH with two (2) option of Highway Design such as:
B-1: Levi Mariano Avenue - C-5 Interchange
B-2 Bagong Ilog/Kalayaan -C-5 Interchange

As senior member of a team of Independent Consultants/Engineers working for our Client (the Philippines' Department of Public Works & Highways) I am tasked to research, study and prepare highway design of various priority projects of the Philippine Government. Our company's Terms of Reference is primarily Detailed Engineering, Feasibility Supervision & Independent Checking during Construction, Certification and Justification.
Duties, Function and Responsibilities:
Study on alternate routes in sections where widening, realignment or improvement of alignment are considered.
Coordinate with all key staff of the project on the alignment of the project road.
Formulate the design criteria and geometric designs to be adopted in the project road.
Collect and review all available project reports and documents.
Coordinate with the Geodetic Engineer concerning the conduct of detailed survey on roads, bridges and other data that shall be gathered.
Supervise all highway design works, pavement design, preparation of plans and assist in the quantity estimate of all items.
Prepare Highway Design report for inclusion in the Final Design Report and assistance in the preparation of monthly progress reports and other reports that maybe required.
Coordinate with the CAD supervisor in preparation of drawings.
Assist in the preparation of final design plans and specifications.
Formulate Highway geometric designs proposed bridges and similar structures (if any).
Project study of permanent locations of drainages such as pipe culvert, box culvert, canal and other related drainage structures in conjunction with the design configuration of the highway.
Prepare all necessary schedules of Pavement. Drainage, Highway Furniture, Safety & Traffic Appurtenances, Road Markings, Slope Protections and other item as necessary.
Assist in the study of the environmental and social impacts of the proposed highway.
Assist in the acquisition of Right-of Way and parcellary services

Duties, Function and Responsibilities
Coordinate with Obayashi Sr. Construction Manager relevant to the construction of 8.4 kms. expressway 7 bridges, 3 Farm Underpasses
Prepares survey data and earthworks quantity calculation
Formulate guidelines to guide surveyors as head of the party and monitor the alignment and finished grade of road and structures.
Proper record keeping, time keeping and job charges.
Reporting directly to the assigned Project Manager of the project in relation to survey activities.
Function and Responsibilities
Review highway contracts drawings road inventories and other relevant project data, summarizes and verify access suitability of the horizontal and vertical alignment of the roads project.
Formulate guidelines to guide highway inspectors on proper supervision and prepares and updates progress monitoring chart for highway construction.
Attending the meeting with DPWH representative concerning with the utilities affected by the project.
Design road layout and provide road geometrics.
Conduct site inspection and locate the site boundaries, locate the highest elevation and depressed areas needed to cut or fill and possible location of drainage outfalls.
Design of storm water and drainage layout and check the catchment areas and rainfall intensity on the project location and prepares drainage sizes from gathered data needed for the design.

Duties, Function and Responsibilities
Review the corresponding construction drawings, technical specifications, bill of quantities and budgetary cost estimates
Responsible for the finished grading and pavement design works
Design Ramps interconnections with balance quantity of cut and fill to avoid borrow materials for embankment.
Ensuring the design is in compliance with all application codes and standard.
Prepares of engineering computations and materials quantity takeoff.
Prepares spreadsheet computation of highway geometry.
Implement horizontal and vertical alignment in accordance with AASHTO design guidelines.
Attending the weekly meeting with the contractors concerning the project.

Review the construction drawings submitted by the contractor and indicate the correction and finalized the drawings upon approval by the resident engineer.
Prepares spreadsheet computation of highway geometry.

Review the execution of the survey computations for the preparation of the drawings
Establish of permanent reference monuments in a suitable area on the right of way between the ditch slope and the utility easement.

Investigation of the selection of the ground control( section corners, block corners, survey corners and others monuments found. As a result of the field survey to be used to position the survey on the ground.

Duties, Function and Responsibilities
Utilize as surveyor of the different project to establish reference horizontal and vertical control points.
Coordinate with the assigned engineer consultant to check all reference point established.
Prepares all required designed elevation of the proposed highway/bridges for submission to the Engineer consultant.
Prepares designed elevation for blue topping levels such as sub-grade, sub-base and alignment
Perform mathematical checks of control survey traverses to confirm compliance with the survey tolerance.

Witness daily construction activities being undertaken at project site;
Prepare check list of requirements needed prior to proceeding to construction
Ensure and check that all approved construction methodologies are being followed
Ensure that all materials to be used were approved;
Ensure that work activities are in conformance to approved plans and specification
Check and record length, quantities, and volumes of actual work accomplished;
Conduct documentation of daily construction activities thru pictures taken;
Record activities thru the monitoring log;
