Managing the project site for electrical and ELV building services and infrastructure, according to company design and project requirements. Reviewing of electrical shop drawings for building services and infrastructure which are prepared by the Contractor, according to Contract drawings & Project specifications. Reviewing of Material Submittals according to Project Specifications and DCD, DEWA and DM regulations. Reviewing of Method Statements & ITPs according to Methodology & Specifications. Responding to design related query by verifying design calculations, design drawings and specifications. Involve in the Design Verification stage, up to Testing & Commissioning for the complete electrical and ELV system. Represent the client for any technical issue and discussed with the consultant and contractors through meetings and workshops for solution.
Project Quality Management - determining quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities so that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken. Examines and supervise the installation of Electrical and ELV Systems and insures all installations are done according to project specifications and authorities regulations. Checking of site MEP shop drawings and evaluates material submittals. Coordinate with all engineering disciplines (contractor, project manager, designer) to resolve technical problems on site. Issues verbal and/or written notices of code violations to electrical contractors, installers; ensures corrections are made in a timely manner. Conduct snagging and de-snagging for electrical items.
Managed the coordination and liaising with the designer, client and vendor for project documentations and deliverables. Lead the company in the internal communication and coordination for all vendors and subcontractors interfaced with Electrical handover. Responsible for the Review of Electrical Services Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans, Checklists & Test Sheets. Witness factory & Site Acceptance Tests. Witness System Testing & Commissioning, Systems Integration, Cause & Effect Functionality & Operation. Verification of Testing & Commissioning activities for client's acceptance thru signed-off Inspection & Test Requests, Test Records, Authority Approvals and Certifications.
Act as owner's representative. Responsible in supervising and monitoring of electrical works for buildings, 33KV, 11KV (GIS and AIS) substations, LV substations and underground power and communication utilities. Witnessing of 11KV switchgear test, DC system (battery charger) test, Distribution transformer test, LV switchgear test and all electrical Site Acceptance Test. Conduct site inspection of electrical works and check if all works are according to the approved drawings, specification, ITP and method statements. Promotes a safe work environment and provides leadership implementing Zero Accident philosophy. Work actively with the contractor’s project management teams to understand project objectives and priorities and to meet project objectives with regard to safety, cost control and schedule. Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise. Monitoring and supervising the construction works at the project, to ensure it meets the requirements in term of cost, quality and time. To ensure project meets the stipulated quality requirements by closely monitoring and supervising the work and to take the appropriate actions timely to remedy any shortcoming. Ensure that proper records are kept and carefully filed. Promotes delivery of a quality product and provides leadership implementing the project quality requirements and ensures compliance of installed Works with applicable Standards. Implements health, safety and environmental practices in site.
Supervise works and coordinate with the companies discipline engineers for the resolution of technical discrepancies. Verify that the quality related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards. Evaluates all material technical submittals and coordinate the approval prior to procurement. Reviewing of site purchase orders to ensure that the applicable requirements are met. Prepare all technical documents (MS, ITP’s etc.) relative to site quality control. Prepare and update MEP Work Plan and Quality Manual. Co-ordination and supervision of LV and ELV works. Prepare Cost estimates for prospective projects and evaluates cost proposals from different vendors.
Operation and maintenance of electrical facilities of the 15.5 hectares Rockwell Center which includes a Central Water Pumping Station, Sewage Treatment Plant, Traffic Signalization system, Street Lightings, Fully Automatic Irrigation System. Initiate improvement of existing systems and programs (operation and maintenance) to save on cost and time without compromising quality. Prepare and review Electrical and Telecommunication operation and maintenance programs. Conduct cost evaluation and cost reports for all electrical purchases. Assist in the development and implementation of company's Environmental Safety and Health programs. Responsible in the preparation of technical reports and securing of local authority permits.
Project and Construction Management of a Mix-Use Commercial Centre. On-site supervision of main contractors, suppliers and sub-contractors. Responsible for the day-to-day running of the 15.5 hectares site (electromechanical works). Involved in safety management and quality control aspects of the project. Act as owner’s representative. Coordinate and supervise the timely and proper preparation of required plans and specifications prior to implementation. Conduct field inspections and continuous monitoring of electro-mechanical works being undertaken by the contractors to see to it that all works are done in accordance with the plans, specifications and target schedules. Prepares correspondences to concerned parties regarding information, clarifications and/or decisions that require immediate resolution.
Co-ordination and supervision of Electromechanical and ELV Construction works. Provide engineering services in evaluating electrical proposals of subcontractors for the prospective project. Ensure a close coordination and interaction of different subcontractors. Conduct field inspections and continuous monitoring of electro-mechanical works being undertaken by the subcontractors to see to it that all works are done in accordance with the plans, specifications and target schedules. Prepare correspondences to concerned parties regarding information, clarification and/or decisions that require immediate resolution. Attend job site meeting representing the company pertaining to electro mechanical items. Checks and verifies termination of work of each subcontractor to ensure no gray area shall be encountered. Evaluate progress billing and variation orders of electro-mechanical subcontractors.
