-Have read ARAMCO standards & SAMSS related to Electrical Department in order to fully understand the department’s role of a project in regard to calculation, Designing and item selection.
-Have learned the basic concept to approach the department aims in transmitting power throughout a multistage system starting with the onshore sub-station to the final loads.
-Have learned and examined in cable sizing and Voltage drop calculations whether in AC (2 ɸ and 3 ɸ) or DC power.
-Based on loads and cable sizing, I have learned Circuit breaker selection as well as fuses and relays for protection purposes.
-Have gained knowledge about different types of lighting source such as, but not limited to, LED light and flood light.
-Have also learned ICCP (Cathodic Protection) calculation to determine the number of anodes required and the amount of current/voltage running through the system.
-Have understood PanelBoards as a distribution point as an AC (2 ɸ or 3 ɸ) or DC and to calculate required values & percentage in regard to power and current with respect to the feeding voltage value.
-By having done Renewable Energy subject while at university, I have been able to fully understand how to design Electrical Power System using Solar Panels to feed systems in the offshore Platforms.
-Have learned and conduced the 30% Discipline Check by using the highlighting color standards as well as learning the squad check of 60 %.
-Able to identify different types of Instrumentation drawings such as P&ID, Instrumentation Block Diagram, Points & Lines, Cause & Effect and Instrumentation Installation Schedule.
-Have been enabled to conduct tracing in any instrumentation drawing in order to double check the design and inform the designer in case of finding any error.

while studying Instrumentation & Control tech. at JIC, I have learned the basics of what could be described as the art and science of measurement and control. Students ought to learn and work with instruments to do a variety of tasks such as measuring, recording and control a process variable. Variables like, but not limited to, level, flow, temperature and pressure that could be found in almost all oil and gas industries, chemical processing industry, food processing operations and power generation.
