To monitor Empty/Full container inventory, Container Yard location at all times and make a future space and CY location plan.
To optimize CY space by proper utilization of facility and give instructions to Operation Controllers.
To count the number of containers that should be collected, the number of full containers that should be dispatched in accordance with shipping schedule and outbound loading schedule.
In-charge in the request of the adequate number of trucks for daily/weekly operations.
To decide priority the quantity of empty containers to be collected and full containers to dispatched and request hauler.
To have counter plan in case there are changes in outbound loading schedule, shipping schedule, sea bulk schedule and other unexpected occurrences during operation and direct to concerned personnel.
To prepare work shift plan and allot necessary manpower and equipments.
To check equipment condition and daily inspection check is implemented.
To monitor, control, and integrate the whole operations and develop teamwork among personnel.
To record and file documents as per procedure.
To ensure proper data entries of each gate are recorded in Database.
To conduct inventory of office supplies and to collect all request needed by personnel.
To ensure strict compliance of FIFO policy in handling empty containers to avoid detention charges.
To prepare operation update report which includes overall operations, equipment condition, unsettled issues during shift and turn them to next shift supervisor to ensure continuity of smooth operation.
To make empty/full container stock report, movement report and other reports needed by CY Manager.
To maintain and update department’s documentation such as Job descriptions, Procedures, Guide liens, Work flow charts, Forms and List according to ISO - 9001.
To ensure strict compliance of Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment (QHSE) procedures.
To ensure good housekeeping at work place in compliance with QHSE policies and procedures.
