Provide EHS Support to the facility operations. Drive GE Corporate and GE Power EHS initiatives and values. Demonstrate strong leadership as a member of site management team. In addition;
- Lead daily operations of EHS team in aspects of development, work scope and day to day activities such as routine inspections and risk identification. Also, set goal and expectation for the EHS team, targets and areas of focus.
- Lead chemicals and hazardous waste management programs cradle to grave, coordinate industrial waste water collections, manifests and disposal certificates. Also, lead projects with the operation team that contributed in reduce hazardous waste generation and reduce the cost of disposal.
- Plan, Manage and provide required EHS training to site employees. Training courses associated to shop floor employee’s activities. Also, Work with third parties to provide qualification training required for high risk operations.
- Lead and participate in risk reduction projects, simplification and cost reduction projects for my site and other GE entities.
- Continuously evaluate EHS programs and policies implementation and development. Also, coordinated and implemented sensing sessions with production team that helped identifying gaps and challenges to operations. Then set corrective actions and plans.
- Managed environmental, health and safety framework in aspects of meeting GE and local authority’s requirements such as PME and civil defense. Also, lead the renewal of the required license to the mentioned authorities including ISO 14001:2015 certification.
Projects
o Lead EHS for Alstom shop integration project in Rabigh, SA with GEMTEC shop cradle to grave. That includes Waste management, renewing required government licenses, managing contractors and hand over the facility to the land owner.
o Assigned in Abu Dhabi, UAE for two months to lead and support GE team in Gulf Turbine Services shop. I have managed and lead chemical sampling for risk analysis with assigned contractor, cleaning, decommissioning and lifting plans for all parts and equipment. Also, succeeded to recycle 124 Ton of Aluminum Oxide With a cost reduction of US$ 54, 600
o Lead MEELSA (Project Melon Integration) in Dammam, lead and coordinate decommissioning and transferring of equipment. Hazardous waste management and disposal.
