I was an audit senior at KPMG, charged with the responsibilities of
- efficiently executing the audit of clients as per the requirements of IASs
- team building
- reporting to partner and director
- preparation of financial statements as per the requirements of IFRSs and IFRS for SMEs
- client handling and team allocation
KPMG is one of the largest professional services companies in the world and one of the Big-4 auditors.
The key roles and responsibilities that, I have performed while being associated with KPMG asanexternalauditorinclude:
➢ Ensure audit tasks have been done in a timely manner and in the defined budget with appropriate follow-through.
➢ Ensure all subordinate team members are professionally supervised, worked and keep motivated to achieve the objectives
agreed upon in a timely manner, whilst providing the necessary guidance whenever required.
➢ Involved in consolidation process and reconciliation of financial statements of subsidiaries with parent companies and
reviewofaccounting treatments.
➢ Reviewthe operations of entities and designed internal control and reporting framework.
➢ Plan and perform audit procedures based on the risk identified through understanding the entities, the industry and the
environment they operate in and the relevant controls they have, and using KPMG Audit Methodology (KAM),
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing(ISA) and Corporate laws.
➢ Involved in decision making process of various accounting, auditing, taxation, client handling and team management
challenges duringauditengagements.
➢ Performing a detailed review of the operations and internal control systems in a computerized environment to identify
weaknesses in the system and to give recommendations for improvement.
➢ Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework
including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local corporate laws and directives of
regulatoryauthorities in the following manner:
o Preparing chart of accounts for each client on the basis of nature of business,
o Analyzing and recording transactions on the basis of their nature,
o Recordkeeping,
o Preparation of monthlyaccounts and client reporting.
➢ Identified and investigated audit differences and evaluated findings.
➢ Perform analysis and review audit working papers and financial statements for forming an audit opinion as per statutory
andprofessionalrequirements.
➢ Undertook planning and finalization of engagements, resolution of key issues and delivering clearance presentations.

I started my journey to become a Chartered Accountancy in 2011 and now I am a CA finalist and on the verge to become a CA.
GCU is among the highest ranked college in Pakistan. I did my intermediate in General Science from there in 2011.
