I was a part of the IAM team at a Dutch firm operating across 150+ countries, where I handled various technologies including Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune (MDM), Hyper-V, Networking, Storage, Security, and Patching. My role was crucial in consolidating AD and IT infrastructure during acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures.
One notable accomplishment was the successful remediation of weak ciphers within Active Directory (LDAP, NTLMv1, SMBv1, RC4, TLS1.1) across several hundred sites, achieved through thorough and comprehensive efforts.
Furthermore, I led the deployment of Microsoft Intune for a client in Saudi Arabia and led an Active Directory and mailbox migration project in Dubai for DHA (Dubai Health Authority).
I was a member of the professional services team, offering consultancy to clients in the United States and Canada. My role involved completing projects using Project Management methodologies. I specialized in migrating workloads from on-premises platforms to Azure, covering VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM, and physical servers.
My expertise extended to handling Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, Password Hash authentication, and implementing Single Sign-on through ADFS. I successfully facilitated the migration of numerous customers from EA/ PSYG to CSP subscriptions in Azure. Additionally, I executed various migration types—hybrid, cutover, and IMAP—from both on-premises and hosted platforms to and from Office365.
I was a part of the professional services team, providing remote consultancy to clients based in the United States. My projects encompassed a wide range of tasks, including deployment and upgrades of Active Directory Domain Services, Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, and managing AD Roles. Troubleshooting and executing Active Directory Migrations and Multi-Forest deployments were also part of my responsibilities.
I specialized in handling various versions of on-premises Exchange servers—2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016—managing deployments in co-existence, hybrid environments, and conducting seamless upgrades. Migrations to Office 365 from on-premises Exchange servers, O365 to O365 migrations, and transitioning from any hosted email to O365 were key areas of expertise.
I facilitated G Suite email migrations using MigrationWiz, SkyKick, Quest, and Office365 FastTrack. Additionally, I implemented tailored configurations in Office 365, including customized DLPs (Data Loss Prevention), transport rules, E-discovery, Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), and Conditional Access Policies.
My skill set extended to Azure BCDR (Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery), Azure networking involving virtual networks, Subnets, VPNs, Network Security Groups, and Azure File Sync. I conducted thorough assessments of clients' environments and managed the migration of on-premises data centers to Azure for physical, Hyper-V, and VMWare platforms through Azure Migrate.
Lastly, I deployed SSO (Single Sign-On) solutions using ADFS for Office 365 and through OKTA, ensuring streamlined access and security measures across platforms.
I was part of a systems support team, providing technical assistance to both internal and external organizations. My responsibilities were diverse, including deploying the entire infrastructure for a subsidiary firm within a colocation data center. This encompassed over 300 virtual machines operating on Hyper-V, with extensive configurations for routing, switching, firewall security, high availability, and hardware load balancers.
I specialized in delivering end-to-end web application hosting solutions for clients, whether on-premises or on the Azure cloud. Additionally, managing extensive networks across 4 sites, involving over 500 nodes, 250 servers, and 400+ Virtual Machines, was a crucial aspect of my role.
My expertise extended to deploying robust backup solutions utilizing Microsoft DPM, Veeam, and Azure ASR backups. I also handled the deployment of site-to-site and client-to-site VPNs, managed Symantec Endpoint Protection, oversaw VOIP call center operations, and managed wireless networks.
Troubleshooting and deployment of technologies associated with Windows Server and client operating systems were part of my routine tasks. I ensured smooth network changes following SOPs, catering to internal and external stakeholders while maintaining SLA and OLAs.
Moreover, I took the lead in conducting technical meetings, addressing project challenges, designing strategies for disaster recovery, overseeing procurement, vendor and change management, licensing, and service management. Presenting network and systems architecture and addressing auditor queries during periodic audits were additional aspects of my role.
I oversaw a range of server management tasks encompassing AD, DHCP, DNS, FTP, File Server, IIS, ISA, WSUS, RIS, and unattended OS installations. This extended to handling datacenter operations, power management, UPS oversight, link utilization reporting, and managing VOIP call center setups and Video conferencing systems.
In the realm of networking, I specialized in configuring Cisco routers using EIGRP, Static routing, NMS, E1, IPLC links, PRIs, and various internet links such as Fiber, radio, and VSAT. Additionally, I configured VPNs using Cisco routers, PIX, Palo Alto, and SonicWALL firewalls, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity.
My responsibilities included staging systems and laptops following organizational SOPs, providing recommendations, and managing IT equipment procurement. I also played a pivotal role in implementing Disaster Recovery, High Availability (HA), failover plans, and backups for diverse data types, applications, and servers.
As a part of the global system operations team, my focus revolved around managing both LAN and WAN infrastructures, overseeing more than 250 nodes, along with multiple data centers housing over 100 servers and virtual machines. I was responsible for the installation and configuration of Windows and Linux servers, conducting hardware and software troubleshooting, as well as handling upgrades.
Moreover, I facilitated system staging for new hires within the organization and administered various critical systems including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, IIS, FTP, ISA, print servers, and file servers. Additionally, I managed Exchange Server 2003, 2007, and IBM Lotus Notes server to ensure seamless operations.
