Responsibilities and duties:

• Led end-to-end development of building and facilities projects, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Directed teams, outsourced work, and facilitated effective communication with stakeholders.
• Implemented high-level project plans and achieved targets on approved budgets and timelines.
• Fostered cross-functional collaboration and streamlined internal and external requirements.
• Proactively managed risks, recommended policy improvements, and ensured contractual obligations were met.

• Provide full and detailed appraisal of project requirements as issued by client

• Take sole ownership of draft design brief and present for comment and approval prior to beginning next stage.

• Work with concept department to realize deliverables on time and within budget

• Work with Associate to develop cost/time chart based on project deliverables, required resources and agreed program

• Client liaison alongside Associate

• Sub-consultant liaison, agreeing deliverables, scope and timescales

• Ensure project tracking schedule is current, monitored and submitted on a weekly basis

• Manage any value engineering and make client aware of potential variations to consultancy agreement

• Orchestrate detailed design package, review progress daily with Senior Architect, and resolve all outstanding issues where client input is required

• Oversee submissions for building permit and Civil Defense

• Select a suitable procurement route to suit client’s requirements

• Propose tender list, pre-qualify all tenderers

• Work with QS regarding BOQ and tender documents

• Arrange for contract documentation to be signed

• Liaise with post-contract staff to agree resources

• Act as continuous link to pre-contract staff, client and sub-consultants

• Set and maintain acceptable efficiency levels and ‘lead’ by example

• Ensure that all staff are aware of the company’s Quality Policy and Quality Objectives

• Chair weekly senior/Project Architect meeting to formally track project programs

• Complete awareness of consultancy agreements with clients and sub-consultants

• Detailed awareness of payment terms and invoicing

• Agree invoicing strategy with finance department

• Track profitability of projects and report to Associate in charge

• Understand key financial objectives of each project

• Communicate ideas and project implementations to enable work to become more efficient and better coordinated

1. Coordinate and oversee all technical activities relating to architectural and engineering projects, including directing the design team, reviewing drafts and computer models, and approving design changes.

2. Communicate directly with managers, production staff, marketing personnel, and clients to discuss and organize projects from original conceptual design through construction.

3. Present design proposals and bids to clients according to prescribed deadlines, and explain relevant details, reports, expense line items, and goals in clear and persuasive language.

4. Provide consultations and spearhead negotiations with potential clients during the project development and bidding phases.

5. Assess potential projects for feasibility by researching and analyzing associated technology, design requirements, governmental regulations, and market demand.

6. Oversee recruitment efforts to staff project teams with architectural and engineering personnel as needed and provide top-level management for all design and engineering teams.

7. Remain up-to-date with current and trending elements of design, construction, and technology by reading industry publications, manuals, and textbooks and attending professional development courses and events as time permits.

8. Innovate and develop new standards, policies, and procedures for architectural design and engineering work as necessary to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

Responsibilities and duties:
• Work with clients to identify objectives and formulate options, and deliver client briefing reports.
• Works with Clients to gather facts, defines design and space planning problems, conceptualize possible solutions and secure approvals of proposals.
• Working independently or with junior architects/engineers, to design and prepare project concept, schematic design, and detailed design.
• Presents project design to department Heads and municipality engineers for review and makes recommendations to meet their needs.
• Conceptualize total project and establish key work priorities for development of design, scheduling and budgeting.
• Develops construction bid proposals, reviews bid specifications.
• Recommends contract approval and administers contracts with a team of architects and engineers.
• Review building plans and site progress during construction for aesthetics, environmental acceptability, compliance with codes and standards and accessibility requirements.
• Acts as a Lead Worker over the activities of subordinate professional staff.
• Prepares technical reports and correspondence during project life time, in both stages, design and construction.
• Review architectural or other disciplines drawings, specifications and contract documents to ensure compliance with government codes, laws and regulations.
• Advises Subcontractors on the interpretation of plans, recommends changes when necessary based on client feedback.
• Provides technical expertise in development or review of policies and procedures in relation to architectural structures and systems and construction/safety codes.
• Researches literature and maintain knowledge of current building materials, structural, mechanical and electrical system codes and methods of application.
• Reviews Subcontractor's shop drawings to ensure compliance with Specifications and contract agreements by checking them for technical accuracy according to accepted guidelines.
• Reviews product literature, analyzes materials and determines appropriateness for application to projects.
• Provides advice and develop design documents to initiate and modify architectural, interior design and space planning solutions.
• Performs design drafting including preliminary drawings, working drawings and full detail drawings of architectural discipline.
• Provides finish selections including color palettes, carpet and wall finishes, lighting and other various interior selections.
• May participate in marketing efforts, including presentations.
