The project is a new secondary technical school
establishment for ADVETI located in Baniyas Abu
Dhabi. The scope is construction of 9 school buildings
blocks, which consists classrooms, various types of
laboratories & workshops, teacher rooms, MEP
services block and in addition, landscape, hardscape,
sports facilities and car & bus parking in the
surrounding school area. The precast elements
(hollow core, pre-cast panels, columns, etc.) are used
for this project.

The total built-up area of the project is around
42, 373.66 square meters with a total plot area of
157, 012 square meters and is worth approximately 80 Million$.

Ali is responsible for all MEP elements (Engineering
and Construction) including all types of coordination’s with various subcontractors, lift works, Landscaping, irrigation, including hands on experience on obtaining authorities approvals.

The Meydan Residence project (MR1) scope consists of construction of 4 nos. Residential Buildings using full precast elements (hollow core, pre-stressed beams, etc.) with car parks, Gymnasium, retail areas, 197 nos. apartments of different types, landscape and hardscape area and 3 nos. water features (2 swimming pools and 1 Jacuzzi) including all related MEP services.
The total built-up area of the project is around 52, 530 square meters and is worth 55 Million$.
Ali is responsible for all MEP elements (Engineering and Construction), lift works, fire retardant application, irrigation, swimming pool and garbage chute works including hands on experience on obtaining authorities approvals.

The Bay Views project scope consists of the construction of 1 Hotel Building with car parks, Gym, restaurants, 254 Nos. of different types of rooms, landscape and hardscape area, retails area, leisure options, Business centre, 5 nos. water feature fountains and 2 Nos. of swimming pools.

The total built-up area of the project is around 36, 000 square meters and is worth 60 Million$.
Ali was an MEP Coordinator and Acting as MEP Manager for Habtoor Leighton Group accountable for completion of MEP Builders works and underground drainage network for sub-structure stage. Ali was also in-charge of drawings and materials submittals review.

Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), Ritz Carlton Grand Canal Hotel Project, Abu Dhabi

The Ritz- Carlton project scope consists of the construction of 10 hotels blocks with car park, Gym, restaurants, etc. 85 individual chalets with pergolas, villa reception, landscape and hardscape area, as well as the on-site 54 apartments located at venetian village, retails area, SNG gas station, 7 nos. water feature fountains, 6 nos. new substation and three shaded areas adjacent to the resort’s swimming pool.

The total built-up area of the project is around 180, 000 square meters excluding the external area and is worth 500 Million$.

Ali’s project achievement was coordination with a specialist contractor to deliver SNG gas station plant including piping infrastructure in accordance to ADNOC’s requirements, in addition to plan, supervise and coordinate the installations of steam boiler, various fire protection systems, ELV, LV, GRMS, BMS, security CCTV, fire alarm, mobile radio, air conditioning and ventilation systems, domestic water and sewerage network, etc.

Ali was part of Habtoor Leighton Group LLC’s MEP team who was responsible for successful delivery of Ritz Carlton project thru to handing over of the project.

Ali’s role of Senior MEP Engineer involved provision of assistance to MEP Manager / Project leader in conducting, attending coordination meetings with different sub-contractors, consultant, client and MEP commissioning team in order to meet the project target program, taking-over to client and solve any MEP design issues that arise.

During the Defect Liability Period (DLP), Ali attended and addressed all the defect notifications issued by the hotel operator and consultant as per agreed contract obligations.

Al Ghurair, Al Ghurair City Expansion, Rotana Rayhaan Hotel Project, Dubai

The project involves expansion of the existing Al-Ghurair shopping complex and is a mixed use development, which includes a 20 stories hotel tower and 20 stories residential tower, both with extensive amenities. It also includes 8 levels of office space and leasable retail areas, as well as three basement parking levels with more than 600 spaces, 3 new substations, 2 sky lights, hotel tower - light box, water features fountain and 2 swimming pools.

The total built-up area of the project is around 218, 000 square meters and is worth 400 Million$.

Ali was MEP Engineer with Habtoor Leighton Group LLC responsible for the following:
Coordinate the MEP subcontractor’s requirement for structural and architectural builder’s work prior to issue for construction.
Ensure any discrepancy between specification and design drawings are properly recorded for further commercial action.
Make regular site walks with the site construction team to ensure communication and resolve any site problems on the spot and ensure that the resolution is properly recorded on shop drawings.
Liaise with different suppliers and HLG’s commercial team in procuring the required materials and make sure that all the materials are received in timely manner.
Plan, supervise and coordinate the installation of different MEP services (HVAC, Plumbing, firefighting (sprinkler system, foam, fire suppression, NOVEC system, etc.), cooling tower / chiller Plant, Low Voltage (lighting, small power, etc.), ELV system (IT/AV, SMATV, Telecommunication, IPTV, etc.), fire alarm, BMS, water features, smoke management system, security CCTV system, etc.)
Carry out the clearance required and obtain consultant approval for the grid, boarding and MEP final fix.
Ensure all inspections request related to MEP works are completed, and to liaise with MEP sub- contractors and QA/QC engineers to compile and submit in a timely manner to avoid any delay to subsequent activities.
