The General Directorate of Abu Dhabi Police is responsible for ensuring safety and security in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Being one of the Abu Dhabi Government entities; it contributes heavily into achieving the government strategy and policy agenda through its vision to become one of the most effective and efficient police force in the world.
Managing and implementing quality and excellence initiatives cross several awards by leading the team and developing the submission.
Pursuing stakeholder value by initiating a wide range of tactical implementation issues designed to reduce costs and increasing performance.
Linking performance measures to strategy, by carefully pruning out those measurements that are resulting in behavior not aligned with the strategic direction, adding new ones that encourage working on strategic initiatives.
Encouraging efficiency improvements everywhere. Working with all department managers to find new ways to improve their operations. Benchmarking corporate operations against those of other police authorities, conducting financial analyses of internal operations, and using information about best practices. Calling on my communication skills to convince fellow managers to implement improvements, as well as the ability to shift funding into those areas needing it in order to enhance their efficiencies.
Enhancing the accounting and finance functions by creating an ongoing system of improvements within the accounting and finance functions.
Examining outsourcing possibilities, by determining which noncore areas are absorbing large amounts of management time and/or funding, and seeing if they can be prudently outsourced. Conducting periodic reviews to how the attractiveness of this option changes over time.
Encouraging innovation, by modifying internal measurement, reporting, and budgetary systems to ensure that some original ideas are allowed to percolate through the organization, potentially resulting in the implementation of high-return ideas.
