As a senior associate seconded from KPMG Pakistan, my role is of a senior team member of large teams and field in-charge of small teams managing junior team members as well as training and guiding them. I was responsible for:
- carrying out field work and managing team members on statutory audits;
- working on special purpose and carved out financial statements;
- decision making process of various accounting, auditing, client handling and team management challenges during audit engagements; and
- Reviewing the working papers of the audit team members and getting it reviewed by the engagement manager and partner.
- Undertake planning and finalization of engagements, resolution of key issues and delivering clearance presentations. The experience gained here was instrumental in polishing leadership, adaptability, presentation, time management, teamwork and client interaction skills as well as delivery of result-oriented outputs. Performed audits in compliance with relevant laws and requirements for major clients in the retail, Trading and contracting and software industries.

As a key member of the audit department starting as an audit assistant and quickly promoted to audit in charge, my major responsibilities have been:
