I work in an NGO where we follow up palliative care patients at their home. Trying to palliative symptoms of terminally ill patients, end of life symptoms, or those who have symptoms of a related treatment. As nurses, we are critical care decision makers and we are supported by our physician who's a family medicine doctor and specialized in palliative care.

My 22 years of experience is all in nursing. The first 4 years were in AUBMC in cardiac surgery unit. Then in 1995 I went to KFSH&RC where I spent almost 13 years. The first 8 years were bedside nursing in internal medicine and oncology (radiation + solid tumors). The oth 5 years were as a nurse manager in oncology unit (solid tumors). In 2008 I started as a nurse manager (medical/ surgical) units in MGH). The CV covers the job description of each position I held.
My work experience ranges between bedside (direct) care and management. It's divided between 12 years direct care and 10 years as a unit manager.Also my experience is divided between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia (September 1995- December 2007). As a direct care provider, I used to do all the care needed by the patient situation (physical assessment, IV cannulation & discontinuation, NGT insertion and feeding, bladder catheterization & training, tracheostomy care & suctioning, skin/ bedsore care, chemotherapy calculation &administration, baxter and syringe pump usage. PCA and epidural pumps calibration and use, epidural catheter & site care, & patient/ family teaching and documentation. \nAs a manager, my experience covers scheduling, budgeting, staff appraisals, doing patients' rounds (with and without the physicians), committees chairing and co-chairing, staff teaching and competencies checking, staff meeting and minutes keeping, and other endorsed activities.
