Managed a team of subcontractor from the pre - execution phase to the completion phase of the project which specialized in the installation of static and rotating equipments for process areas Reformer # 1 and Condensate # 1, taking responsibility in achieving tasks within the provided time frame in accord with the project specifications and procedures without compromising safety practices.
o Review of Mechanical GA Drawings through integration of P&ID, Piping Isometric, Steel Structure and Civil Construction Drawings.
o Write clear and concise procedures for the Installation of Tray Internals, Module Erection for the Reactor Structure (65 Tons @ 110 meters height) and CCR Elevator Machine Room (25 Tons @ 80 meter height) and Erection of Reinforced Concrete for Pipe Racks (15 tons ave. weight).
o Assist in the preparation of Work Execution Plan for Mechanical and Steel Structure Erection, revision of Work Method Statements for Erection of Static & Rotating Equipment, review of Lifting & Rigging Plan, ITP’s.
o Updating Lessons Learned (L&L); details taken from pre - construction stage until the completion of the project, highlight common problems encounter during these phases and provide corrective actions to control and mitigate such circumstances.
o Was responsible for subcontractors to comply with all aspects of worksite HSE Plan and Policy, site regulations, PTW & Client requirements.
o Help ensured interfaces with Piping, Civil, Electrical and other discipline are both coordinated and planned to provide continuous work and meet contract schedules.
o Reviewed technical queries to ensure responses are appropriate and practical, review advance revision notices to ensure correct use of construction resources and issue Site Instruction for all field changes.
o Supervised and coordinated the activities of the subcontractors and ensure subcontractor engineers and supervisors to carry out dimensional checks, witness, inspect, surveillance checks in accordance with the Project Quality Plan and ensure all findings are recorded as stipulated on Inspection Test Plan.
o Reviewed manpower mobilization and equipment mobilization and monthly claims for direct manpower, preparing RFQ and RFP for manpower, site equipments and consumables.
o Control and supervised clearing of punch, coordination with QC and Client for Inspection, work closely to piping, electrical & instrument departments for assisting in clearing punch.
o Coordination with Piping and Mechanical Design Engineers for the execution of additional works and closure of comments by UOP Engineers, Vendors and Client.
o Executed warranty works; that includes replacement of damaged pumps, pipe modification works (additional pipeline) and steel structure modification works.
o Updating outstanding works in line with the warranty works, remaining construction works and attend Client's Weekly Meeting.
Assigned in Dukhan Industrial City for the mechanical work scope of Acid Gas Removal Plant. Manage works for static and rotating equipment installation works, review of inspection test plan, preparation of method statements, site preparation and coordination, planning and scheduling scope of works.
o Arranged 3rd party inspection for certification of mobile and crawler cranes for construction, load testing of Electric-operated Travelling cranes, hoist and cantilever beams for fabrication use.
o Supervised and control site supervisors and foremen on the execution of pre-equipment erection works such as preparation of padding plate on the equipment foundation, elevation verification and random inspection of bolt center-to-center distance with Mechanical QC.
o Reviewed Inspection Test Plan and Quality Control Procedures for Static and Rotating Equipment Installation and prepare Method Statements for the Erection of Pre Cast Foundations.
Managed and supervised work for the commissioning activities of static and rotating equipments for both trains.
o Was responsible for the preparation and assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning of static and rotating equipments that includes reviewing of commissioning procedures, preparation of PMC Permits, LOTO and Isolation / de-isolation.
o Ensured all supervisors, trainee engineers and foremen adhere to the most basic practices of safety; have attended all the necessary trainings required for the commissioning phase of the project.
o Coordinated and provided assistance with different types of Vendor Engineers and Supervisors such as General Electric for the air-run and mechanical run activity of Frame 9E Gas Turbines, replacement of 3rd Stage Bucket major overhauling activities. Also, coordinated with APCI vendor for the installation of APCI C3/MCR Companders that includes installation of mechanical center-section and its accessories and assisted in checking of final alignment
o Coordinated and provided assistance to MHI Vendor Supervisors for the solo run, mechanical run, coupling alignment, pipe flange parallelism check and trouble shooting of MHI Steam Turbine Driven Compressors.
o Planning, preparation and supervision of works for the catalysts filling, installation of final filter accessories and Final Box Up works for tower columns, vessels and heat exchangers.
o Clearing of punch and update status of punch items through Win PCS
o Executed warranty works that includes replacement of internal trays, catalyst filling, sump pit pumps replacement, steel structure works and installation of additional pipe supports.
Managed and supervised work for the erection of static equipments as well installation of equipment internals such as trays, random packings, even-flows & grids for tower columns and vessels and installation of equipment platforms and ladders.
o Planning, preparation and execution of works for the equipment internals installation and pre - box up operations for all tower columns, vessels and heat exchangers.
o Supervised and controlled site activities for supervisors, trainee engineers and foremen. Maintain daily surveillance checks and records ensuring supervision are providing safe working conditions and permitting procedures, all required competent personnel, protective equipment, with reliable, well maintained equipment to execute the contracted works.
o Ensured site supervisors, trainee engineers and foremen through leadership and guidance that the contracted works meets all practical and requirements of productivity.
o Promoted and maintained Client and contractor best practice working relationships, maintain supervisory attendance at Tool Box talk and pre start meetings as well as attend progress and Safety meetings as requested.
o Ensured supervisors carry out dimensional checks, witness, inspect, surveillance checks in accordance with the Project Quality Plan and ensure all findings are recorded as stipulated in the ITP
