Scope of work (Electrical / ELV Engineer)
• Perform electrical engineering design, design review, site supervision, site coordination, work inspection, quality checking and testing and commissioning
• Reviewing of technical / material submittals, shop drawing, method statements and documents for final system handover.
• Handles design changes and preparation of construction sketches.
• Handles replies to technical queries.
• Assist QS whenever required to review Progress Billing, variation order / claims.
• Experience to foresee issues relating to site implementation and provide the necessary inputs to resolve issues.
• Conduct detailed design coordination exercises with Civil, Architectural and specialty contractors..
• Have a good knowledge base in elect. System international standards and local codes
• Effect close liaison with the Clients and team mates to ensure project quality objectives are attained.
• Have worked with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environment.
• Attend Cost and quantity reconciliation meeting with the Client QS consultant.
Engineer in charge for the MEP Final System Handover to Clients (3 Dubai Projects and 1 Abu Dhabi Project)
• Electrical engineering evaluation, reviewing of tender and for construction documents and drawings and other contract related documents.
• Review completeness of the design for site implementation based on the design specification and intent.
Coordinates with other discipline (civil, structural and architectural) for the interfacing of each system.
• Review and processing contractor’s submittals
•Civil and MEP coordination work in RMU room, 11 transformer rooms and 11 substations.
• Co-ordination work on the site implementation of all Electrical System, ELV System, Structure Cabling System, Fire Alarm System, BGM/PA System, BMS, Intercom and Base Radio System.
• Detailed co-ordination with specialty contractors.
• Conduct Life Safety Test ( Cause and Effect Testing)
• Review Testing and Commissioning Methodologies.
• Conduct Testing and Commissioning of Electrical Sys equipment and services.
• Review and check documents for the Final System Handover to Client (Emaar)
Total 17 years of experience in design, project management and site supervision of medium and large scale construction of commercial ( malls and hotels), institutional and high rise residential projects.
• Electrical engineering review and evaluation for design implementation.
• Review of Technical submittals, Method Statements, shopdrawings and handles RFI’s.
• Conduct Site installation (IR) inspections, QA/QC checking.
• Conduct meetings and coordination with specialist contractors and medical equipment suppliers.
• Assist T and C group for the for the composition of Methodology.
• Perform testing and commissioning of Electrical system.
• Conduct cost and quantity reconciliation with Client’s QS.
• Assist higher management in the preparation of contract and legal documents for Arbitrary proccedings.
