Manage the Day to Day functioning of the repair shop. Scheduling of appointments, work allocation, supervision, Managing, purchasing spares and tools for the work to be carried out.

Help identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection or road test.
Confer with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures, and prepare work order for needed repairs.
Prepare a repair order showing time, cost, and labour estimates for service.
Write a brief description of the problem on the repair order to help the mechanic locate the problem.
Explain the work performed and the charges to the customer.
Handle customer complaints.
Responsible to meet department productivity and quality goals.
As Spare parts Manager:
Had to forecast the spares that would be needed as per their movement.
Try to minimize dead stock of spares.
Prepare spare parts orders.
Get the orders approved.
On receiving the parts, check physically for damages
Carry out an inventory.
Reconciliation with the requisitions and inventory reports generated on the computer.
Make warranty reports.
Do follow-ups with the parent company.
Approve the issuance of spares.
As Service advisor:
Had to handle customers, open job cards, do follow- ups.
Explain the customer’s problems to the service staff.
Follow-up with the workshop to see that the work is being carried out.
Do the billing.
Explain the work done to the customer.
