The study of telecommunications engineering is concerned with problem-solving and applying theoretical knowledge to real-world systems. Day-to-day work may include: · Designing and planning a new network infrastructure for a telecom operator. · Configuring and optimizing network performance to achieve maximum speed and coverage. · Troubleshooting complex network failures and service degradation. · Research and development of next-generation technologies, such as sixth-generation (6G) networks or low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellite constellations. · Ensuring network security and resilience to cyber threats. · Operating in compliance with regulations and allocating frequency spectrum to ensure compliance.
