Auditing and reviewing the zakat and corporate income tax (CIT) to ensure that the taxpayers are committed to the regulation by analyzing the financial statement.
- Investigating and inspecting to ensure that there is no tax evasion of withholding tax, e.g., examining contracts and agreements between the taxpayer and the franchisor.
- Reviewed and analyzed more than 500+ financial statements and discussed with the Taxpayer for any financial deviations and verified the evidence.
Senior SMO VAT auditor at (GAZT) April 2019- October 2019
- Conduct research and access data from different sources (e.g. public news, articles, GAZT's database, shared channels and networks, etc.) to understand SMO’s business activity, including structure, size, process, and revenues, and compare taxpayer's business with benchmarks and similar industries.
- Verify taxpayer’s declarations and supporting documents to assess documents validity and integrity, identify compliance against pre-defined criteria, pinpoint high-risk and speculative issues, and identify grey areas for clarifications.
- Advising the large taxpayers (TPs) to implement VAT from tax registration as step one to submit tax return.
- Support Taxpayers to enhance their understanding and implementing VAT regulation which related to their sectors and how to comply.
- Solving and following up any technical and financial problems has related to VAT law or GAZT procedures.
- Training staff on regulations of Zakat and Income tax.
Business Plan (Strategic Planning)
- Developed business plan (KPI’s, initiative, energy, fuel, headcount, OPEX., and CAPEX) and assure that all plans are aligned with the Strategic direction up to 2030 with different scenarios and assumptions.
Budgeting
- Prepared of the annual operating budget included KPI’s, initiative, energy, fuel, OPEX and CAPEX
- Uploaded the budget to for each BUs / sectors / departments/ divisions in the SAP.
Accountability
- Prepared accountability report (monthly/quarterly/ annual) by analyzing the performance data (KPI’s, initiative, energy, fuel, headcount, OPEX, and CAPEX)for 15 business lines and identify the variances and justification
- Submitted accountability report for the company's performance to the CEO and the BoD.
