•Participating the Kickoff meeting with customer, shipyard, and design company.

•Performing Pre commissioning and Commissioning activities of Ballast water treatment systemonboard.
•Loop checks from I/O Module to Field.
•Downloading the software program to the PLC through compact flash card and HMI through USB.
•Upgradation of latest FIRMWARE X2 marine 8.0.B814 to the HMI.
•Ensuring the communication between main control panel PLC to lamp drive cabinet, VFD, Log Box, GPS, remote panels.
•Verifying the DIP switch settings in the LPS controller and its PLC’S.
•Verifying the communication integration between ALFA LAVAL’S Control system and Ships ISCScontrol system through Modbus serial RS485 remote interface.
•Configuring MOXA Modbus TCP gateway converter.
•Communicating the system warning and alarm ID to the third-party device such as Ships Kongsberg
alarm monitoring system through MOXA Modbus.
• Verifying the operational parameters of valve P&ID, warning and alarm limits, timer settings, interlocks, and emergency shutoff.
• Finetuning the parameters of system flow and system pressure.
• Verifying the wiring termination of E+H promag flow meter, modifying the parameter according to the system size, flow, Ex type & non-Ex type unit from the range of A/DN 80 to A/DN 600.
• Verifying the wirings of Siemens SIEPART PS2 positioner (P& ID valve), performing initialization, adjusting the positioner CAM setting as per requirement.
• Verifying the wirings and the parameters of the 220 HP ABB VFD, VFD function test, function test of ventilation motor VFD and its ventilation and fire damper.
• Performing system Operational test, Pressure test, Flow test, Filter Cleaning Efficiency, Verifying the Interlocks from Alfa Laval’s control system and the same test with Ships ISCS Control system via Alfa Laval’s remote interface.
• Performing the witness test to CLASS SURVEYOR about the system operations, safety and alarm test (Running and stand by).
• Demonstrating the system function and its maintenance procedure to the engineers and officers onboard.
• Preparing pre commissioning reports, commissioning reports and service reports. Extracting log files, trends, alarm from PLC to store Alfa Laval’s GSM and Lotus.

• 70 % of travelling to Europe, Africa and Middle East for commissioning and trouble shooting.

• Doing offshore survey for selecting a site to locate VFD control cabinet and rotating equipment’s.
• Preparing cable schedule (cable ampacity ratings, cable type, cable size, cable length, cable gland type and size for incoming, outgoing and controls).
