Role and Responsibilities:
My main responsibility is to carry out some of the regulatory functions in the application of nuclear, radiation sources and radioactive material, Licensing and inspection and control of movement of Radiation Source in the country. (Monitor the radiological activities.)
Conducting inspections for radiation and nuclear facilities that use or intended to use radioactive sources in in order to check their complying with the regulatory regulations and requirements, then writing a report describing the points of
compliance and noncompliance.
Achievements
Contributing actively by my competence experience in the following issues:-
-Drafting the Nuclear Safety regulations and technical guidance for the future planned activities in my country. -preparing an intensive Self-Evaluation Report (SER) for phase one of nuclear power program
-Establishing National Policy and strategy for safety
-Enhancing Sudan’s regulatory infrastructure for regulating future NPPs.
-Coordinated some national activities workshops, training courses
-Supervisor about 8 staff and training under me some students from Sudan University of science
-Represent SNRRA in many IAEA activities and gave different presentations
