- Monitoring financial performance, bank accounts, deposits, cash-flow and cost control issues.
1. Monitors, identifies and analyses all projects related costs with a view of facilitating the completion of the project at minimum cost and within budget limits.
2. Review, verify, and document all procurement and purchasing cycle related the project, as PO (and its attachments as MR, PR, Quotations, etc).
3. Comments and requests for clarification, corrective, and preventive actions required as a result of his/her verification
4. In conjunction with Projects managers, verify and agree for the justifications of non-moving item.
5. Monitors and analyses the variation orders documents, its adequacy, and updating, as well as uplift and budget adjustment.
6. Follows up all contracts, agreements, and BOQ, as well as its changes and amendments.
7. In conjunction with project control manager and QS, be updated with all required documents to review all projects cash-in.
8. Be informed with the updated procurement and project schedules, to facilitate reviewing the projects cash-out with finance department
9. Suggests on corrective /preventive actions and/or improvement required to secure projects revenues.
10. Overall review of CTC, Projects reports, projects financial status, ensures the factual data, and verify the variance justification.
11. Direct communication with all other departments/divisions, in which their output is crucial for cost controller to effectively complete his/her tasks.
12. Adhere with all company policies and procedures.
1. Establishment and monitoring of the Direct Material Standard Costs
Review monthly with the Junior accountant, ensure accuracy and update of purchase prices, bills of material, landed costs and exchange rates.
2. Production Labor rates
Developed labor rates for each operation, function and responsibility center. Reviewed monthly labor expenses and monitored the expenses for any deviation that would impact the standard labor rates. The standard rates combined with the production hours established the labor cost for each product.
3. Collected data and monitored on a quarterly basis actual sales vs. forecasted sales
4. Collected data and monitored on a quarterly basis actual expenses vs. budgeted expenses to establish a basis of actual expenses, specifically for the production cost center.
5. Assisted the Cost Accounting manager with the 2009 budget preparation; including:
Set up of meetings with individual department managers, assistance and provision of instructions to the department managers on using the budget modules, explanation on the various expense categories that are required to be completed and creation of templates to expedite calculation of specific expenses such as the payroll model.
6. Prepared costing documents for Oracle implementation.
7. Attended Oracle training on various modules including: Production, Purchasing, Routings, and Bills of Material and Costing modules.
