JOB DESCRIPTION: Position requires thorough knowledge of electrical design and engineering skills. Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices
Electric Engineering knowledge and experience with college projects:
• Pre-Design and Estimation of Low Voltage Switchgear Panels, Package Substations, MCC's, Capacitor Bank Panels, AC/DC Panels, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), Unit and Package Substations, Automatic Transfer Switch with Mains Bypass.
• Studying the Scope of the project and select components as per specifications related to the project
• Understanding the project requirements and clarifying the technical specifications.
• Site visits and suggesting the best customized solutions for the project.
• Study about the load calculations, Breaker and cable sizing as per the calculations.
• Handling of Underground cables for projects.

• Ensuring complete study related documentation (e.g. BOQs, Shop Drawings) studying SLD.
• Costing and General Arrangement for Low Voltage Panels like Main Distribution Boards, Sub-Distribution Boards, Mini Centres, ECB, ATS Panels, Synchronising Panels, Street Lighting Panels, Package Substations, Unit Substations, AC/DC Panels, MCC Panels, Capacitor Bank Panels.
• General arrangement drawings of all associated cubicles for all LT Switchboards.
• Assisting in designing to initiate, conduct, and complete projects. Provides accurate and up-to-date site information to Productions team and cross-functional collaborators as needed.
• To study Technical Specification for various general details like Degree of Protection (Indoor/Outdoor application), type of material, type of Painting and Paint shade, size and color coding of terminals, busbar rating.
Survey of Building, Number of rooms, Area of each room
Number of fixtures required in each room (Depending upon dimension of room, lux requirement and illumination)
• Selection of fans and Exhaust fans
• Socket requirement in each room
• Load Distribution Schedule (LDS)
• Load calculation
• Phase calculation
• Cable size calculation, cable trays and conducting
• Circuit breaker sizing, Transformer Selection, capacitor Bank sizing
• Emergency Lamp sizing (Generator and UPS)
• Single Line Diagram (SLD), Bill of Quantity (BOQ)
• Panel Board, Voltage Drop Calculation
• Short circuit calculation, solar panel, Lightning protection
