◦ Rehabilitation and putting back in Service of Reshmaya 14MW
hydroelectric power plant on SAFA spring, including penstock repair

forecast, power flow, short circuit and transient analysis studies in
addition to the detailed design and tender documents for over 1, 600
km of 400 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV single circuit and double circuit
transmission lines. The scope also covered the construction of one
400 kV/220 kV substation, two 220 kV/60 kV substations, and two
110 kV/30 kV substations in addition to the expansion of one 400
kV/220 kV/60 kV substation, one 400 kV/220 kV substation, one 400
kV switchyard, and one 220 kV/110 kV substation. The scope also
included Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Studies.

substations in Kuwait, 44 substations in Bahrain and three 300 kV/132

planning and execution of the maintenance of these substations. This
program consists of 3 maintenance levels according to a preset
requirements by the O&M. I completed 4 cycles of the program including
preventive routine maintenance, light maintenance, and overhauling
maintenance including repair activities. The main KPIs to reduce the
outage time and improve the overall grid reliability is achieved. The same
model was extended to all regional and international operations of Areva,
and I had the responsibility to document and normalize the procedures
across all Areva operations.

switchgears, protective relays for 300 kV/132 kV/33 kV/11 KV) substation
control systems, power transformers and battery chargers.

• Implementation of quality assurance plans for substation maintenance and
commissioning projects.
• Applying, Enforcing and following-up on safety procedures. I was
responsible for the Safety program including periodic audits across all
AREVA sites in the Area (ASD). I had achieved a zero incident goal for 3
million man-working hours.
• Development of testing procedures for MV switchgears, protection and
control systems, power transformers, batteries and battery chargers.
• Testing equipment purchasing and calibration.
• Substation design coordination and management, including follow-up on
necessary design approvals from the Client.
• Some of the executed Projects are:
◦ Petrochemical Complex A 132 kV/11 kV Substation, consisting of 33
G1S bays, eight 30 MVA transformers, I completed the commissioning
and the handing over to MEW of the substation as a commissioning
managerof the site.
◦ Omeriya W and Omaria Extention 300 kV/132 kV/11 kV Substation.
Coordination with MEW for the outage time for the upgrade work that
was successfully completed and commissioned on time. I was the Site
construction manager for this project.
◦ Shuaiba M 33 kV/11 kV Substation. Responsible for the commissioning
work of the substation as a commissioning manager. I completed the
commissioning of the different substation component on time and the
substation was energized as per the schedule.
