Every day, the mobile network is progressing and new features are deployed to offer new services or to improve the quality of existing services. HUAWEI company, as a mobile network manufacturer, is concerned by this progress to fulfill requirements of many network operators in all over the world. My main role within Huawei is to be more close to Customer in Europe (e.g T-Mobile, vodafone, O2, Orange...) to hear his voice and to propose suitable test methodologies for new features to reduce Time To Market (TTM) and to increase test efficiency.
The integration of VoLTE service in Mobile Networks was the target of most operators in Germany. Rohde & Schwarz is one of the biggest test solutions provider in the world. They developed a protocol tester (CMW500) which emulates the network functions in the purpose to test the handset protocol stack. During my contract with Rohde & Schwarz, my main role was to improve and to automatize the testing process of IMS/SIP software in the protocol server. I was also responsible for debugging issues faced during the testing process. Many solutions was proposed to software developers and merged in the final product because of efficient log analysis.
- Preparation of automation test on Windows environment using Batch files and windows applications.
- Log file analysis: Mobile, Network and Wireshark logs: LTE, 3G, 2G, IPv4/IPv6, UDP/TCP, HTTP, IMS, SIP, RTP, VoLTE/VoIP, DHCP/DHCPv6, DNS, NAT, IPSec, ESP, IKE
- SIP/IMS server configuration.
- Writing of technical documentation to help team members on howto setup a test environment.
- Writing of report files: Excel and word documents.
- Performing stress test to verify the product performance.
- Performing Inter-Operability Tests.
- Customer supports: Onsite and Remote
- Working with Software and Hardware design team.
- 3GPP Test case development on windows and Linux OSs: C/C++
- NAS Protocol Stack development: LTE, UMTS and GPRS
- Driver development on Embedded Linux environment.
- Integration of security algorithms for wireless communications: AES, 3DES, RSA, SHA1/SHA2, MD5...
- Security gateway development: IPSec, ESP
- End2End IP applications development: IPv4/IPv6, DNS, Proxy, DHCP, ARP, RTP, SIP, HTTP...
- Writing of technical documentation describing internal library APIs
- Development of database application: SQL server, Mysql.
- Customer support
