• Improve Quality of the project, Promote best practice for site works.
• Deliver original/ final reports to contractor.
• Coordinate with Main lab for final reports.
• Checks at site and ensure that the works fully comply with project specification.
• Prepare and submit monthly test reports to ACES main lab.
• Ensure the test report which is accepted on the basis of certificate of compliances and responsible to perform the material test.
• Physical and mechanical testing of Aggregate, Soil and Concrete including Asphalt mix design and Concrete mix design in highway construction.
• Physical testing of asphaltic materials, Masonry Blocks & Unites, Road marking, Cutback Asphalt and Asphalt binder.
• Perform the entire material test under the supervision of consultant and liaise the daily activities to the senior material engineer.
• Maintain the log of sampling and testing of material.
• Checking the entire test reports before submit to ACES main lab.
• Collect the special sample for main lab.
• Coordinate all inspections; monitor the required tests and record inspections and tests made pas the Contract Plan and Contract Specifications.
• Coordinate with the project staff to compile and maintain pertinent records of inspection and testing.
• Accurately document the results of the inspections and testing.
• Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures.
• Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and calibration.
• Updates calibration schedules of measuring instruments and equipment.
• Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards.
• Maintain all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
• Checking IR no. and location of every worksheet.
• Engage in various QA/QC documentation including review of subcontractors ITP, method of statements and other related documents

Duties:
•Ensure that the staff his under control are adequately trained to perform their duties as per the quality system procedure and test methods.
•Ensuring all equipment and instruments are fit for use by implementing calibration and maintenance programs.
•Checking of worksheets for accuracy of results.
•Checking tests reports for data transfer before submission to the Contractor.
•Ensure that all tests are carried out in accordance with relevant standard test methods (BS, BSEN, ASTM, and AASHTO) & QCS.
•Performing internal audits.
•Responsible for receiving, identification and inspection of material samples delivered to the main laboratory for special tests.
•Checking RFI No. and location of every worksheet.
•Close RFI and NCR.
•Monitoring Temperature of Concrete Curing Tank and Pouring Card.
•Monitoring the testing of Asphalt, Cube registers & Grout Testing Log.
