Research area: Software Engineering and Intelligent Systems • Relevant coursework: Machine learning, Software engineering, and Robotics • Class projects: o A smart course browser that uses the word embedding for a conceptual search engine. The results of the search are fed into two recommendation systems to suggest the best courses that maximize the student's performance and keep them on track. The results are then fed into a TradeOff Analytics instance provided by IBM to visualize the results and make better decisions o A set of experiments for exploring the applications of deep learning in education. From definition generation to finding related documents using semantic and contextual similarities. o A real estate prediction model that classifies properties according to assessed values. Bagged Decision trees were used to predict the class of the property with a 76% accuracy. Data preprocessing, the size of data, multiple resources, and the lack of labels were the biggest challenges for this project
Achieved top scores on courses involving programming • Placed first in the Design day for engineering projects • Programmed a microcontroller using C++ to control a takeout robot based on input from the sensors
