1. Proactively identify emerging risks and advice the Management and the Board on appropriate risk management options.
2. Conduct reviews of current and emerging high risk and high-profile activities and ensure compliance of AML/KYC policy and procedures.
3. Assist functional heads and managers at all levels across the organization to ensure that risk management is embedded at an operational level within the business and that staff at all levels are aware of and manage risk as a core part of their responsibilities.
4. Provide early risk management advice to the Board and senior managers on new or unusual activities.
5. Liaison with other specialist external advisors on the control environment and tracking the implementation of recommendations.
6. Advising or training staff at all levels on core and ongoing risk management issues (e.g., anti-fraud practices, the identification of “red flags” and the importance of customer/supplier due diligence).
7. Provide business continuity advice to the Management and Board, including acting as a member of the Crisis Management Team if required.
8. Oversee market surveillance activities and report to management about any market abuse, price manipulation and malpractices.
9. Review Business Continuity Plan and DR documents on a regular periodic basis for accuracy and completeness.
10. Oversee technological upgrades, improvements, and major changes to the information security environment.
- Leading the team that deals with entire technological and analytical side of Credit Risk Management and plays a key role in portfolio management & optimization under direct supervision of the Chief Risk Officer.
- Established fully automated Risk Analytics Department that provides insights to the C-level to support their decision making via robust analytics that begins right from extraction of raw data to the delivery of self-service dashboards and reports covering the end-to-end credit life cycle for Regulatory, Board and Management reporting.
- Established different metrics to send alerts and early warning indicators to first line of defence regarding unwanted behaviours in credit life cycle and the portfolio performance and suggest policy/guideline measures for an adequate response.
- Taking care of all Credit Bureaus related matters including SBP’s e-CIB and the private credit bureaus, closely working with them to maximize the utility of their data.
- Development of Machine Learning models to predict patterns using specialized statistical software and Python, working closely with the management and consultants in developing credit score cards for different lending products and collection strategies.
It is a 2 year MCS program with Data Analytics as Major.
