• Promote and encourage a high level of HSE awareness
• Ensuring the implementation of Project HSE Policy, Works CHSEP Plan, and compliance with HSE regulatory requirements
• Conducting regular HSE inspections of Works sites to ensure HSE Performance an improvement
• Conducting internal audits of all Works and follow-up actions for improvement of HSE

Developing Safety Management Policies:
Evaluate the workplace environment and develop safety-management policies that identify and define the safety responsibilities of all employees. This involves assessing the nature of business activities, number of employees and existing policies. A HSE manager working for a beverage manufacturer, for instance, develops a policy that requires workers to report situations that present a risk and which they can't properly deal with on their own. A good safety management policy provides for adequate medical treatment and compensation for workplace injuries.
Coordinating Training Programs:
continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the organization, HSE managers coordinate training programs for employees. A HSE manager working in a construction company, for example, has a duty to educate workers about site-specific safety measures. For instance, if the company is building a radio tower, the HSE manager might train workers to deal with potential hazards, such as accidental exposure to high amounts of radio frequency energy and electrical faults.
Investigating Workplace Incidents:
investigates incidents, establishes the causes and recommends preventive action against a recurrence. Also ensure that workplace tools and equipment meet industry standards and installed properly, as defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Preparing Reports
Prepares monthly reports and makes presentations to senior administrators. included workplace inspection results and workers' response to safety incidents, disposal of waste materials, maintenance of medical equipment and response of new health care staff to HSE policies.
Support independent assurance of HSE management systems for assets (including all the Well Engineering and Projects activities located within the respective Assets)
Assist HSE Head of Planning in developing and maintaining a PDO internal audit certification profile and approve internal auditor’s skill pool
Manage, monitor, and support the PDO Incident Management System (PIM) (electronic)
Assist the management in the organization, management and verification audits of HSE management within the contract scopes known as Letter Of Assurance (LOA).
Develop 5 years Business Plan based on findings from different Audits, LOAs, STOP, LSR, Safety Day…etc
Initiate discussions with Assets Risk Focal Point to identify potential audit areas.
Assist teams to develop five-year rolling plan and an annual plan for Level 2, Level 3 and LOA audits.
Plan and arrange the schedule of LOA audits in cooperation with contract owners, holders and representatives.
Assist in the definition, establishment and organization of the HSE in contracts where required.
Study the specific audit scope and prepare ToR for individual HSE audits.
Draw up level 2, 3 and LOA audit program including site visits and interviews.
Assist in organizing meetings, transport, and accommodation for audit site visits.
Identify, obtain and distribute audit pre-reads to audit team.
Plan kick-off meeting, identify and invite participants and venue.
Manage/Participate/Lead/Conclude Level 2, 3 and LOA HSE Audits
Perform LOA Audits on Contractors include monitoring of registration (Omnicare) and LOA verification questionnaires.
Lead and or assist/Participate in HSE verification Audits and subsequent feedback
Assess/Carry out Site Pre-Audit reviews for ISO 14001.
Identify auditors as necessary to support Level 2, 3 and LOA HSE Audits.
Identify technical expertise requirements for the audit and seek line nominations for Auditors internally
Study Level 2, 3 and LOA HSE audit findings and share significant findings with HSE Head of Planning for corporate learning’s.
Ensure actions resulting from the audits are entered onto the action tracking system.
Provide action status reports to various users including action parties, PDO management, etc.
Carry out quality closure verifications on all Serious and High findings actions.
Provide advice and support to the line on matters relating to audits.
