1. BOQ breakdown and Budget assignment.
2. Project Packages Breakdown and Takeoff Quantities.
3. Preparing and submitting Packages Inquiries.
4. Evaluation of quotations and preparing Comparison sheets.
5. Reviewing Subcontractor’s and Supplier’s Subcontracts and Purchase Orders.
6. Client, Subcontractors and Suppliers Payment.
7. Client / Subcontractors Variation Orders Cost / time impact.
8. Site material control regarding the wastage and productivity.
9. Cost Allocation for Direct / Indirect Cost.
10. Prepare Monthly Cost Report, showing the incurred Cost, Committed Cost against Budgeted Cost, also including the Estimate to Complete for the Direct and Indirect trades with all supporting documents and Project logs.
11. Preparing Procurement Log showing the different procurement stages and the status of the Long Lead Items with respect to the planned dates.
12. Prepare the Project Cash Flow Histogram, updated on monthly basis considering the Project Schedule, Cash in and Cash out.
13. Prepare Project Baseline Schedule.
14. Resource / Cost Loading Schedule and preparation of monthly Project S-Curves and updates showing the (Actual vs. Planned).
15. Weekly / Monthly Progress reports and Updates.
16. Revised and Mitigated Schedules.
17. Look ahead Schedules.
18. Project Potential Claims regarding Extension of Time, Prolongation and Disruption Cost and calculation.
19. Risk management - defining strategy and processes and devising mitigation methodology.
20. Attending weekly progress meetings with the Main Contractor, Subcontractors regarding the Commercial Issues and Site Progress.
21. Monitoring Materials, Shop drawings& Manpower status.
Sr. Project Controls Engineer (Planning & Commercial) responsible for the following tasks:
1. Project Packages Breakdown and Takeoff Quantities.
2. Client / Subcontractor Payments.
3. Client / Subcontractor Variation Orders (Cost / Time).
4. Cost Allocation (Direct / Indirect).
5. Prepare Monthly Cost Report, showing the incurred Cost, Committed Cost against Budgeted Cost, also including the Estimate to Complete for the Direct and Indirect trades with all supporting documents and Project logs.
6. Prepare the Project Master Planning Schedule (Baseline).
7. Resource / Cost Loading Schedules and Project S-Curves (Actual vs. Planned).
8. Weekly / Monthly Updates and Progress Reports.
9. Prepare the Master Procurement Schedule including the Planned Dates for the different Packages, highlighting the Long Lead Items.
10. Construction Working Schedules.
11. Prepare Cash Flow Histograms with monthly tracking updates.
12. Prepare Inspection Testing Plans, Method statements, T&C Planned Schedules.
13. Prepare Mitigation Planning Schedules.
14. Prepare Look Ahead Schedules.
15. Project Potential Claims including Cost / Time.
16. Risk management - defining strategy and processes and devising mitigation methodology.
17. Monitoring Materials, Shop drawings & Manpower status.
18. Assisting in Site supervision for the villas project.
QS Engineer Responsible for the below tasks:
1. Prepare Project Packages BOQs.
2. Quantities take off.
3. Prepare and submit inquiries to Subcontractors and Suppliers.
4. Prepare Subcontractor’s Comparison Sheets & Evaluation.
5. Prepare and review Subcontracts and Purchase Orders.
6. Client / Subcontractor’s Payment Certificates.
7. Review and allocate Project direct / indirect expenses and debit notes.
8. Prepare Client / Subcontractor’s Variation Orders.
9. Producing the Monthly Cost report including:
• Payment status log.
• Variation orders log.
• Cash flow status.
• Overall Project budget.
• Subcontractor’s status log.
• Purchase Order’s Log.
• Preliminaries Summary Log.
• Packages Summary Log.
• Package's Budget reconciliation Sheets.
10. Cash Flow Histograms (in & out), with monthly updates..
11. Preparing the Procurement Schedule and tracking the long lead items with respect to the planned dates.
12. Reviewing the Design Change list, RFI’s and Correspondences for any potential Claims or Variations.
13. Updating the Baseline Project Schedules.
