Managing the procurement and tendering process.
Preparing and updating CAPEX report.
Preparing contractual documentation.
Valuing construction work for interim payments, Variation Orders, value Engineering, claims, and setting final accounts.
Controlling cost during the construction process.
Giving advice on the avoidance and settlement of disputes.
BOQ and SPECS review (Pre-Contract stage)
Prepare monthly reports to declare work progress and identify the area of concerns.
Review cost status and forecast updates to the Project Management.
Follow up work on the project, ensure that objectives are achieved within budget.
Study purchase orders and sub-contract requests and approve them.
Analyze project cost by trade and compare it with revised budget and recommend recovery plans.
Monitoring and coding actual cost for labors, equipment, subcontractors.
Review client payments and highlight under-payment items.
Attend meetings with top management to discuss cost related issues.
Review project’s drawings, prepare list of potential contractors, define bases of awarding them, agree technical specifications to be implemented, and approve preliminary invoices and compare them with the actual work.
Prepare technical and material submittals & method statements.
Approve financial cash out plan and invoices issued for the finished works.
Approve procurement plan according to project plan.
Approve purchase requests after confirming their quantities and technical specifications.
Ensure conformity between approved drawings and work executed.
Managing cost control of site activities.
Recommend value engineering ideas that lead to cost optimization and faster execution.
Attending progress meetings.
Prepare/review quantity survey, client payments and claims subcontractors’ invoices.
Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for contractors.
Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with SPECS.
Day-to-day management including supervising and monitoring the work of in site.
Preparing quantity survey, client payments and variation orders.
Review subcontractors’ invoices.
Cost breakdown for claims and monitoring the cost of BOQ items.
