Technical Management Responsibilities:
Validate & manage the execution of Rockwell Automation PlantPax Solutions & Projects in terms of MCC, PLC, DCS & SCADA Systems, and field Instruments, Historian Reporting Systems, and Switchgear Power SCADA Solutions in terms of:
• Review the IEC, IEEE project compliance standards for system validation in accordance with the technical specifications
• Review the I/O list and instrument loop diagrams for validation and/or modifcation if required
• Create The Prototype FSDS (Functional Specifications Design Specifications) for the project and then hand it to the engineers to carry on the work
• Review the HDS (Hardware Design Specifications) in terms of netwrok architecture, hardware compliance, thrid-party control systems, control panel compliance and conformity for Validation and/or Modification,
• Control and protection equipment right sizing.
• Review the SDS (Software Design Specifications) in terms of Proper Control Modules and Global Objects, IEC61131 programming language compliance and proper utlizing throughout the software development, Control Network loading and traffic.
• Review the FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) documents for Validation and/or Modification
• Review commissioning documents in terms of Contro panel power supply integrity, hardware modules functinality, physical loop checks, control modules communication and fuctionality
• Review the SAT (Site Acceptance Test) documents for Validation and/or Modification
• Review the handover documents (operation and maintenance manuals), training materials
• Give Technical support and mentoring whenever possible
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• Definie project tasks and resource requirements
• Develop project plans
• Assemble and coordinate project staff including on site resources and outsourced resources
• Manage the project budget
• Manage project resource allocation
• Plan and schedule project timelines
• Keep Track of project deliverables by using appropriate work execution software
• Provide direction and support to project team
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders

• Analyze the P&L and keep track of project successful closing in terms of deadlines and markups

• Design/Validate & Manage the execution of Schneider Electric Solutions & Projects in Egyptian and North East Africa Market Segments (Energy, Oil/Gas, Water & Waste Water, Metals and Mining).
• Lead the Technical Project Team in best engineering practices and newly introduced methods in industrial communication (Ethernet, Serial, proprietary…etc), New PLC/PAC platforms, Field Instrumentation, Expert Level Automation Solutions. Time Stamping Application especially in Power SCADA and Telemetry Applications, Plant Asses Management, Safety Instrumented Solutions…etc
• Create and/or Validate the I/O Lists, Bill of Material, FDS, FAT & SAT processes and procedures
• Carry out/Validate Field Instruments /Control Valves Sizing and Selection
• Evaluate and Introduce External Suppliers which complete the company projecting portfolio such as field instrumentation, control valves, telecommunication, industrial UPS, Battery & Battery Charger units and Transformers
• Prepare new order reviews, transfer report analysis, monthly status reports and close-out notices.
• Create & Implement and review Project Scheduling in terms of costing & Technical Implementation
• Report to the Engineering Department Manager with the Project and Work Progress periodically.
• Contribution in the P&L (Profit & Loss) analysis and keep track of the assigned KPIs of myself and my team
• Assure the awareness of health & Safety regulations in accordance with the company global HSE standard
• Quality Assurance Check (Procedures & Methods) V-Model Methodology
• Introduce TVDA (Tested Validated Documented Applications) prior commencing the project
• Engineer, Implement & Review the company Engineering Investigation Reports “EIR” related to electrical & automation projects and Interface with suppliers and engineering consultants.
• Shutdown Planning and Activities Supervision
• Update and validate the WI (Work Instruction) either onshore or offshore for the company electrical and controls assets such as MV/LV switchgears, MCC, Soft-Starters and Motor Variable Speed Drives, Earthing and Grounding, Protection and Power SCADA controls, PLCs and HMIs
• Supervise and lead my team in terms of engineers and technicians to execute the required activities ensuring the personnel and equipment safety.
• MV Senior Authorized Electrical Engineer (Responsible on MV Isolation and Maintenance Supervision)
• Interface with the instrumentation department in terms of mutual control & instrumentation systems
• Help in engineering and specifying the company electrical/automation equipment/solutions with multivendor interface such as General Electric, Rockwell Automation, Schneider Electric, ABB, and Siemens.
• Company focal point in all new and existing power automation controls including PLC, PAC, HMI & SCADA and industrial communication. (Edge)
• Hold periodical meetings with the subordinates team to discuss the business plan progress, in terms of maintenance work orders, warehouse inventory, equipment data analysis and promising ideas
• Report to the asset integrity program in order to keep track with the company assets policies.
• Member of the electrical department decision making team
• Layout Electrical & Instrumentation solutions for small and medium size projects for most of industry disciplines comprising hazardous and non-hazardous applications.
• Select & Size Field Instrumentation and control valves
• Create and/or review/validate I/O Lists, Equipment Lists, Loop Diagrams
• Review and Validate SLD, P&ID, Technical Datasheets, FDS (Functional Design Specifications), FAT & SAT procedures.
• Introduce Plant Asset Management Solutions adopting ROA “Return On Assets” methodology
• Design, Program, commission and maintain MCC, PLCs, SCADA, field instruments & Hybrid Control systems,
• Size the field instrumentation from the principle products portfolio
• Design & draw Shop Floor Electrical & Control CAD drawings
• Help with teamwork in assessing projects (Technical & Cost)
• Help-desk assistance whenever it is needed.
• Responsible on the Design, Developing and implementing the control panels in terms of electrical and/or PLC/HMI components conforming the international food & hygiene standards
• Create electrical and control CAD shop drawings.
• Create system bill of material for purchase orders.
• Interface with the electrical, instrumentation and control valves suppliers such as Omron, Siemens, Endress+Hauser, Alfa Laval, APV, Samson....
• Contribute in preparing the technical and operation manuals for the sold machinery and/or food processing solutions.
- Responsible on maintaining Low voltage electrical equipment (air compressors, steam boilers, gensets)
- Responsible on maintaining Siemens S5 PLC
- Responsible on maintaining Field instruments (RTDs, Thermocouples, Flow meters, Recorders, Proximity Switches, pressure meters, Level meters…etc.
- Organize the spare parts warehouse in terms of quantity and availability.
